Always such friendly staff here, great drink selection and the choice of either ordering from the Thai kitchen or Pizza kitchen.. what more could you want!? Love sitting out the front on a Sunny day. Lucky to have this place as a local, it feels more like a village pub. Fair prices.

A great, well-known, and used local. Go out the back (covered) for great oven fired pizzas or an awesome Thai meal . Good selection of beers and vino . I go there a lot .

I found this pub on a Google post by My London and am very grateful. I knew the area, we used to call it Leytonstone Village, but didn't know about the pub. You'll see from the pics how attractive both the pub and village are. (Yes I know it's just behind the Green Man roundabout but it's still pretty lovely). The pub is busy and vibrant and they have food, a choice of pizza or Thai, random possibly but oh my. I am a Thailaphile, I made that word up, but I like Thailand very much and I've just enjoyed the best green curry I've had outside of Thailand and better than many I've had in Thailand itself. So terrific food, great location and good old British pub atmos. Who could ask for anything more?

I have no doubt in my mind that The North Star is my favourite pub in the whole of E11. It really doesn’t matter if you’re sober as a judge or as drunk as a sailor when you walk through the door you’re going to have a grand time. If you know about this pub already then kudos to you, if you don’t get to know as it’s fabulous!

The North Star is a gem of East London. I’d recommend anyone visit for the following: Firstly, they have the best Thai food I’ve ever tasted in London and I’ve tried a lot. All the other places I’ve been or ordered from can’t compare because they don’t get the subtle mix of flavours right. For me, the North Star beef massaman is without doubt a signature dish. It’s perfectly balanced. Secondly, the pub has a wonderful owner, a unique character, an excellent selection of beers, and is situated in a backdrop of quaint cottages. If you want a relaxing drink on a sunny evening there’s no better place.

Gorgeous little pub, we stumbled upon on Paddy's night, my Irish mates were drinking lager...not Guinness!? And when I walked in and saw the ales I was soooo happy. Every one a gem!

📍 The North Star 🌍 Leytonstone 🏛 Attractive little two room pub with a small front garden and bigger back garden. Simply decorated indoors, mainly with nostalgic pictures of trains. 🍺 Large and unusual choice for a pub of its size and location. Credit to the landlord for the quality and range which was so big I had to move to halves to try it all and ended up pretty merry. @exalebrewing from #Walthamstow was on tap alongside @newbarnsbrewery from #leith and Estrella Galacia from #Spain, @lervigbeer @howlinghops and some ciders. ℹ️ The pub's a bit of a walk from Leytonstone, which is a lengthy tube journey from a lot of places, but it's well worth a visit. 🙋‍♂️ Great pub, @traindriversparky really enjoyed ourselves here. It also has an impressive collection of regulars too.

A ‘proper’ backstreet boozer, tucked away in a thankfully un-gentrified area. A very traditional interior with good outdoor seating options, either at the front or in the large back yard. Great selection of well-kept ales; Timothy Taylor Boltmaker is a favourite of mine and was very good. Also serving freshly prepared pizzas and Thai food. I’m rarely in this part of London but will definitely return here next time.
