For me, steak is best kept simple and something I rarely plan on sharing. The Wild Game Co. served a perfect medium rare topside of venison that came pre-sliced, presented simply on a wooden board (rather than arranged in any pretentious architectural feat) and was somewhat shielded from prying eyes by a generous pot of their beef dripping fries. A surprisingly light béarnaise sauce rounded off a meal that not only satisfied my primal urge for meat but also left me thinking that all those at Gaucho across the road had got it so wrong. The sociable staff (and fellow diners, including a rather entertaining enfant terrible) also made for a very pleasant experience.

Great venison burger and the duck fat fries were scrumptious. First time I have tried them today.

Had a venison Burger and it was hands down the best Burger in London. Juicy, medium rare by default and ... only 5 pounds? Amazing value, great cozy, atmosphere in buzzing Fitzrovia with lovely service. Did I mention the fries seem to be homemade and delicious too?

DELICIOUS. I have been there about 5 times and keep coming back - the Chateaubriand is simply delicious (a lot of meat and very tender) and the normal steak frites and wild salad are lovely. The steak is very well cooked (medium rare) and excellent value - I don't know where in London one can find such quality for £12.50.
Very relaxed atmosphere too, casual and easy.

Probably the best steak I've ever had, great service and atmosphere too. Awesome food and experience.

Absolutely sublime! Ended up in this little last (Saturday) night with my girlfriend, almost by accident, and had one of the best meals out in London in a long time.
The Venison was amazing and cooked to perfection, the beowolf burger was packed full of flavour and the stovies side was so good we ordered it twice! Add to that the friendliest service from Adam (although I'm not surprised being that he's Glaswegian) and a cosy, fun and social atmosphere I'm surprised we got a table straight away.
We will definitely be back and having more venison, stovies and trying the haggis pops ASAP! Beautiful

Had an impromptu dinner at the Wild Game Co last night; actually were booked to go elsewhere but were drawn in by the Scots menu (haggis pops and stovies) and the deal was sealed by a free taster of aforementioned stovies. Came back after a couple of strong beers at the Draft House, and tucked in to haggis pops and the award-winning (literally that night) Beowolf Burger. The burger was incredible - juicy meat, sweet onions, sour cabbage and a healthy dosing of chilli cheese! Left feeling full and happy, after a lovely chat with the manager. Definitely recommend!
