You wouldn’t believe the quality that lies behind that frontage
It can be a fish and chip shop but most of the menu is much, much more than that
Homemade chicken pie and chips was delicious and the staff were excellent. First rate service.
Very nice little place, very friendly and welcoming staff. Mussel tagine starter had great flavours and nice garlic bread to accompany it. Grilled sea bass was tasty with steamed veg. Standard fish and chips, but big piece of fish!
Locally loved restaurant. From the entrance it seems a small place but it’s deep and there are plenty of seats inside. There is a signboard of pasta which is quite reasonable in Hampstead like £5 or so. They are not on the menu inside the restaurant but you can order them! Carbonara was delicious. Fish and chips was also amazing. We will come back again.
I went there with my other half and we tried the mac and cheese, seafood spaghetti (but asked for linguine instead of spaghetti as I prefer it) and the soft shell crab burger.
The seafood linguine was lovely! The mac and cheese was really great too. I probably wouldn't order the soft shell crab burger again but it was decent. The portions were pretty good, we even had some left to take home. We would definitely return and perhaps next time try the fish and chips.
I went here on a whim after seeing a tik tok video by the creator of the place, he’s a really good runner and I can appreciate that.
The place was not particularly busy on a Friday and I am surprised as the food was pretty fantastic.
I must say that I started with some oysters, first time trying and I shan’t have again, not for me and I struggle to see why someone puts that in their mouth and goes “bring me more”.
However the lobster Mac and cheese is honestly outrageous, the lobster cooked extremely well, fresh and garlicky, with a side of arguably some of the best Mac and cheese I’ve had, super indulgent but as it’s treat day why the heck not, really well presented in a pan. I will certainly be back again in the future
Amazing! Service literally could not be better. The shop was planned to close at 10pm but the staff said its not a problem eat at your own pace we will stay open for you.
We ordered 1 cod and chips and 1 cod burger. Both delish! Arguably 1 of the best fish and chips I've had. Regularly checked on us to see if everything is okay. Patient when we asked our hundred questions about the menu.
I live pretty far away from hampstead and would happily come every week. Highly recommend. 5*s 10 out of 10. Really made such a good impression as you can tell from my review.
Definitely going to go back for the Lobster roll or even if it's just to pop in and say hi to such amazing staff.
Came across them on Instagram. Ordered lobster roll mac and cheese. Truffle fries and salmon grilled with vegetables. The food was superb. The fries needed more Truffle as the flavour wasn't potent enough but it was sufficient. I will definitely be back
My boyfriend and I were there on a Thursday. We enjoyed our dinner it was our first time trying lobster! The restaurant is affordable, cozy the personnel are really nice, especially the waiters they’re professionals, we felt well taken care of and especially Mark who was attentive. I recommend and we will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu!
Came here for bottomless oysters and Prosecco with my friend and was impressed with the fast and service and relaxed atmosphere. Oysters were presented beautifully as you can see and the quality was not compromised even though we went for a bottomless deal. Thanks to all the staff who were really friendly and checked up on us continually. Will definitely come back for the a la carte menu as the other seafood options look extremely appealing! Highly recommend you check this place out, especially if you’re a seafood lover.
Nice little spot with outdoor seating, friendly staff and reasonable prices. Had the coffee and chips and the steak pie and chips. The cod was solid but the pie was very good (although super rich). Definitely worth a try.
Found this restaurant via Instagram and the pictures of the food looked amazing so I had to try for myself. Attended last week and the food did not disappoint! Portions were generous (I even doggy bagged some mac n cheese) and everything tasted delicious and fresh. Service was also great. Would definitely go back
I was on holiday in London, my Sister took me to The Fish Cafe in Hampstead High Street.
Where we enjoyed the most wonderful Fish Chips & Mushy peas. Which I would highly recommend to anybody that is looking for an Excellent Meal. I give it 5 plus stars.
Also they have a variety of other meals and lovely Desserts. Excellent Service, Beautiful Layout.
