Excellent food & service... Highly recommend.
I was in the area for an appointment. And I had Google this place assuming that is another franchise. I got there and I had ordered food which is usually the typical as I didn't want to take any risk by trying something new. So got butter chicken and other items. Despite the fact that the food was below average. I must rate the waiter as he was so humble. I could tell he was new to the job. He didn't even mention to us in a conversation. I could see him making alot of effort towards the customers that there were. He was being polite and ensured that every customer is happy with their food and drink. He kept going to each table to ask if they need anything else etc. I am the kind of person that I need my food to be at certain standard and customer service to be on point as at the end of the day I'm paying service charge etc. But today I thought its a small family restaurant and they're trying to make some business before the close of the day.
It was good to see someone work ethically and trying to do better.
Excellent food and superb service, as always. I've been eating at this restaurant for around 40 years. I've sampled Indian restaurants elsewhere, but Himalayas is always the best, whatever dish you order. I'm happy to recommend to anyone, because i know they won't be disappointed.
Lovely family run restaurant. We went for an end of term meal and all the food was just right. Very happy to recommend
I cannot give enough praise for this restaurant. It might well be one of the only true Indian restaurants left in South East London. It remains in traditional decor and has been around for 50 years. It has an enormous menu with massive variety and is very well priced. God knows where they got the chef from, but please, please keep him.
The food is plentiful, well cooked and service is personal and efficient.
We have eaten in many times and had takeaways and both are brilliant. No frills with the decor but the ambiance is great. Highly reccomended.
Had a tasty takeaway from here recently, flavours really blew me away and felt I could taste every individual spice. Service was also really friendly from the waiter who grabbed my food for me. Would visit again :)
One chicken and chilli tikka gravy and two chicken biryanis. It was very tasty and affordable. Even though their closing time was 11pm and we came at 10:40, they were kind enough to serve us with warm, hot piping food. The staff and the owner were really kind. Had a great time!
If you’re looking for a very high quality, classic Indian meal this is the place. I went in with the idea of a sizzling pan of korai and fresh garlic naan and they really delivered. Very attentive staff who catered to a dairy and nut allergy as well. Just missing some music but otherwise the atmosphere and meal were great.
Great food and great service! Wonderful nan and samosa! The butter lamb and paneer with spinach were great!
Blink and you’ll miss it due to the small windows but it’s a great neighbourhood Indian joint, reasonable prices, tasty, quick, nice setup inside. The menu is immense, maybe too much, it’s easier to pick from a carefully selected small list in my opinion.
Average curry house, food very nice, staff very friendly and very good value for money. Decor is average.
