food was excellent....really good and servers were very nice and helpful....overall lovely experience...would recommend to my friends n family
Food is fresh, service is excellent and it tastes fantastic. Totally Recommend this restaurant to everyone! 10/10!
I live just a couple of blocks away from it so I frequent this restaurant quite a lot. The standard of food is very decent and I always recommend a meal here. Try out the dim-sum basket in particular.
Had a delicious family lunch here and had the opportunity to taste a wide range of foods from the menu - forgot to take photos of the food !!!
The flavours were delicious and everything we ordered both looked appealing and were very tasty.
The service was very good, pleasant and attentive, with lots of smiles, which is rather lovely when your on the receiving end :)
Would definitely recommend a visit here.
I recently visited JM Oriental Kitchen & Dim Sum Restaurant with some friends on a Saturday night. We pre-booked, but we were surprised to see that the restaurant was only half full. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a relaxing ambience. The service was excellent by all staff, especially Alex, who went out of his way to entertain us throughout the evening.
The menu offers a wide variety of elegant Chinese food, not just dim sum. We picked a few starters and mains as recommended by the waiter, and everything was beautifully presented and very tasty. The food was not cheap, but it was definitely worth the price. We had a great time at JM Oriental Kitchen & Dim Sum Restaurant, and we would definitely recommend it to others.
Pros:
Beautiful décor
Relaxing ambience
Excellent service
Wide variety of food
Beautiful presentation
Delicious food
Cons:
Parking can be a pain
Can be a bit pricey
Overall:
JM Oriental Kitchen & Dim Sum Restaurant is a great place to go for a special occasion or a night out with friends. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is relaxing. I would definitely recommend it to others.
Looking for somewhere to celebrate my daughters 21st birthday; dined @ JM. The food was really good - quite filling. The atmosphere was good though I was a little apprehensive being the first diners there. The quality of the service was very good - definitely recommend it for fine dining 👍🏾
4 stars atmosphere simply because it was cold - the air conditioning was on.
One of the most unique dim sum experiences of my life. Asian fusion that was delicious and seemed original. The shrimp dishes were done well, super crispy and not over cooked.
I highly recommend the mushroom buns and black sesame buns with egg yolk custard.
I dare say this is probably one of the poshest Chinese restaurants for fine dining in North London suburbs. The restaurant has a rather unassuming frontage but on entering, a very modern and inviting decor, tastely furbished, with comfortable and spacious seatings, and friendly, attentive service.
It has a relatively small menu, unlike other Chinese restaurants with menus that can run into pages and pages, like with a dozen different choices of beef, pork, rice, and noodles ! The food tasted authentic Chinese, not Anglicised, and of good quality but in relatively small portions. The price is higher than average Chinese restaurants as one would expect, but you do get what you paid for in terms of quality and ambience.
We had forgotten to book a table. But luckily for us the staff were able to fit us in at the last minute for three people on a busy Saturday afternoon. Especially since we had already paid for parking outside.
The restaurant is located in a residential estate, and the majority of patrons looked to be local. The restaurant was half full when we arrived at 1pm. But it had a nice buzz. Children were on adjacent tables and seemed to be enjoying the whole experience.
The service was attentive and we were advised on how many dishes to order, which was just enough for three adults.
We shared a teapot of Chinese tea, which sat on a candle warmer. This was a nice touch as it kept the tea warm throughout our lunch. The servers kept topping up our cups.
Each dim sum dish can be found on a typical Hong Kong style dim sum menu. But some of them had a nice twist. We particularly enjoyed the kanefi and mango prawn roll and the beancurd and prawn cheung fun. The baked pork puff buns, had a strong yeast flavour, which over powered the taste of the filling and the grilled turnip cakes were flavoursome but burnt. The prices were a little more expensive than I would expect from a local outer London establishment and approx £8-9 per dim sum dish. But all in all it was a nice experience. We would return again, but not so often due to the value for money.
Where to start the food, the staff, the atmosphere just an overall amazing experience!! Also something they don’t advertise enough is their dim sum lunch menu all of which sounds amazing and judging from the dinner it probably tastes equally as good too!! And please please have a look at their desserts. I have been to many London based Asian restaurants and unfortunately the desserts always seem generic and like an after thought but here honestly so much thought and effort has gone into every dish and flavour that any of their desserts, similarly to their starters and mains, is well worth the calories!! Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again soon.
Amazing food and great options if you’re vegetarian. My favourites were the vegan mock duck pancakes and the vegetarian dim sum. Great service and really nice decor (very similar to central London vibe)!!
Good Chinese Cantonese fusion. Food quality amd service are good. Front may be a little deceiving but inside is perfect.
Loved it! The restaurant has a calming ambience, the staff are incredible and the food was delicious, served to perfection! The drinks were also very good. It was recommended to me and I’ll recommend it to others.
