The amount of food is unbelievable. We ordered a single cod and a large portion of chips for two and we couldn't finish it. Actually we weighed the amount of chips left after and there was still more than 500g of chips left !
The fish was great but the chips were a bit too soggy for me.
Would have preferred more crispy battered cod but the white flesh was succulent & delicious. £9.50 is rather pricey but understandable for London… mini size meal is enough for a quick snack I think.
We have eaten from here since 80s.excellent fish and chips and good staff to match.

Absolutely love savvy pop in once a week on a Thursday and him and his team always have me in hysterics, really nice friendly genuine people. The shop itself is clean front and back and the food is fresh and delicious can't ask for more really would definitely recommend.
Freshly made while waiting biggest cod excellent taiste and Service, Chips was nice addictive, needed this after a long journey, original Traditional, brilliant will go again, am there locals now, serve fresh not from got service plate
They serve the most delicious chips I've ever had anywhere, generous portions, free ketchup and consistently cooked to perfection - this review is so good you would think I work for them.. ! haha

Excellent Cod & Chips, The Cod was not oily or greasy, but perfect, very crispy batter and fluffy cod that almost melts in the mouth, Perfect.
Some of the best fish and chips in East London. The food was very fresh and piping hot when I took it home.
I have been going to this fish and chip shop for donkeys years. The staff are very friendly and are always happy to give you the best service. The fish and chips are amazing and very generalist portions.
I find it very difficult to grasp comments such as small portions as over many years of coming to this fish shop I have never encountered a problem.
I would highly recommend.
