So so so great food! We usually don’t eat Chinese food when traveling since we live in Taiwan. But my husband took me here because he had Chinese food for the first time here many many years back. All the dishes that we ordered were all very tasty and packed with flavor. We really loved their Singaporean fried rice noodles that we dined here twice while we were in London! Great portion and reasonable price which was a big bonus. People complained that staffs are rude but it’s actually part of their trademark. It’d be odd if they’re being polite! They only take cash payments so prepare ahead but you won’t be disappointed with the food.
Tummies filled with 2 plates of freshly cooked healthy food for £19.80 did not disappoint as always. Service has mellowed over the years. My first experience was going back 40 years ago.
Been hearing about this legendary place for a while. I had prepared myself for the infamous service (I thought it was a chinese version of Karen's Diner 😅) which later would be redeemed by authentic chinese dishes. But everything turned out good. Service was not the best, but more than tolerable. Dishes were all good that I came for two days in a row.
I ordered mapo tofu and boiled rice during my first visit and beef brisket on boiled rice and hot & sour soup during my second one. My husband ordered cold BBQ pork, crispy belly pork, and roasted duck on boiled rice. Please do try their chili oil. It's THE BEST.
Overall, good experience. Good food.
