Docklands is a prime example of how to run a good local chippy: keep things simple – lots of chips, good quality fish, good staff and you’re onto a winner. It’s not outstanding, it’s never going to be the go-to location in East London, but it’s not trying to and sometimes that’s absolutely fine.
Their chips are great - proper chip shop chips. Their salads are great. As a vegan, chips and salad is all I've ever had here.
However, to my pleasant surprise, they recently introduced a new vegan range! It's unusual for a takeaway shop such as this one to offer vegan options, so, credit to them for that.
They now have vegan pies, burgers and sausages on the menu, which is great.
Unfortunately, I'm trying to limit my consumption of such processed products currently, so I probably won't be trying them. Also, my workplace is moving location very soon and I'll no longer be around.
Maybe I'll grab a battered sausage one day before we move so I can do a better review.
Regardless, the guys running this joint are awesome.
Delicious food, only fault was that we had to wait ten minutes for the fish 🐟 ended up having a very satisfying cheat meal! Don't go here if you are dieting, 915 calories (roughly) for a small fish and half of a small chips with salt vinigar and ketchup! 😍🍟🍽️ My sister had the pie which was also very nice!
I had a late lunch which was needed badly which consists of small chips. I say small chip but it was more like large chips to go with my sausage in batter and pukka steak and kidney pie. I would say staff and service was top class
I pop in today services still the same as last time.
This place is amazing.
I inadvertently butt in line the young man immediately asked 'sorry, who is next'. I genuinely appreciated that. Shows me he values custom.
I waited and I ordered £104 worth of food.
My food was cooked right in front of my eyes and only prepackaged items were the salad and sauces.
However regardless of the amount of money I spent I was treated the same as the person before me who bought a portion of fish and chips or the next three people who were fiddling through their pockets for enough money to buy a portion of chips to soak up their alcohol.
The food was amazing. My family left nothing.
I dont know if this place does curry for chips but they should start doing so.
If you are getting there by car get there after 530pm as the residents bays and single yellows are ok after this time. There is a shop next door if you need to buy a drink to wash the food down.
Be prepared for a long wait during peak hours as there is a events venue and bar nearby. Also with local transport links where people get home between rush hour many get off and decide to get a portion of chips on way home.
Their best dish for me..... ah man...... it's the plaice and chips (more the chips for me)
But like I always say. Go there yourself and find out yourself.
Small kebab/fish'n'chips place, nice atmosphere. Food is alright, you get what you paid for. There are only 3 seats inside and it can get crowded while waiting for your food to be done.
Best kebab i had in ages. Lovely food lovely staff
What you expect from a local fish/kebab place. Really like their chicken dinner kebab, and chips are good. Sausages etc as expected.. had cod once, but felt it wasn't very tasty compared to some other places. Maybe a one off, but I've stuck to kebab and sausages after that. It's my local more or less so I'll keep coming back.
We found this place on the website and haven't stopped using them for our weekly Fish and Chips, there Kabab's are great too.
Good quality products as you can taste the difference compared to other takeaways.
I love there fish as they do perfectly cook it the way we ask for us, extra crispy batter with no smell on the fish.
Love the weekly order and I hope they keep up the standards.
The only real edible fast food in the neighborhood. Salad always fresh, staff always friendly clean and professional.
Chips use real potatoes, serving sizes are big and generous.
Place always kept clean, whats not to like.
The best kebab 🥙 in the local area.
