It was the first time I had tried Malaysian meals. Definitely one of the best meal I've eaten. Inside is quite small and stuffy but meals are extremely delicious, it is definitely worth to go. Almost always there is huge queue, you should be ready for waiting 30 min at least.

Roti Canai: it is serving with hand-made bread. Sauce is extremely delicious, probably it is including a lot of different malaysian spices. I have missed its taste a lot.:(

Nasi Lemak: chicken was extremely spicy but delicious. We don't like crispy fish. Rice was delicious and different from normal rice because it is including coconut milk, we liked this. Boiled egg and cucumber is going well with spicy chicken.

Small cosy shop that serves good Malaysian food!

Ordered the curry laksa, roti canai with chicken curry, mee goreng and cantonese hor fun.

The roti canai was an absolute stand out! The roti is as close as what u get in Malaysia and the chicken curry that accompanied it was fragrant with the right amount of spice.

Great Malaysian food!!
After spending an extended period of time in Europe we were delighted to find this basement restaurant close to our hotel in London.  We had a delicious Malaysian meal for the first time in weeks - excellent Nasi lemak, Roti curry chicken, kang kong (morning glory) belacan and char kway teow.  The prices are very reasonable too - but come early or be prepared for a wait.  We arrived at 7 pm and had to wait around 40 minutes for a table!

Excellent food and so affordable. Making it a regular place for me to eat. The chicken / lambs canai special has so much flavour and is a must eat with a side portion of the “kangkung belachan” which is a vegetable .. so YUM!

Good food, good service, and a really cosy place! Tried the Roti Canai special with curry chicken which was pretty good (heavy as well though). Tried cold Milo (chocolate drink) which was a hot drink served with ice (first time for everything). The food was Malaysian but I felt it was a mix of Indo-Malaysian. Overall, a good experience

The best flaky fresh roti. This is the thing I would recommend from this restaurant. There’s many things you can order to accompany your roti, like daal or lamb curry etc. But the roti is the star of this place! They even have dessert rotis. The restaurant itself is a really small canteen style eatery. Probably can only fit 30 people so be prepared to queue.

Aptly names. You can see the skill of the chefs on the roti station make the roti translucent and folded in which creates that puff pasty effect of a great roti. Always have the Roti Canai chicken, lamb and lentil. Also, the cheese filled roti for starter is lovely. The place is tiny and always has a queue. They really need to expand.

This is one of the best places for value for money. I have visited this places couple of times and tried different items including the fomous Roti Canai. The food is freshly prepared and very good in taste. Specially, the curries are full of flavours which is typically influenced by south Indian style of cooking. The only problem is that one needs to stand in a queue to find a place to seat in busy hours. It may not be good option for those who do not want to share tables. However, I like it and provides me the opportunity to chat with people from different parts of the woulds.

I am referring here to enduring hot exhaust, smells, cramped waiting areas and rather confined seating. I’m not a large man but even so, I need a little bit of space.  This is something that I find an issue on the morning commute.  I do not understand why in London, where people do not pack to the same extent as Tokyo (they don’t hire professional packers to push people in London), people can be so unaware of how irritating they can be.  Or perhaps they just don’t care about how much they annoy others.

Amazing Malaysian/Singapore cuisine! All the dishes were delicious - very well seasoned, rich and flavourful! It’s also very well priced. It’s also fairly well priced - we ordered 4 dishes, a dessert and drinks to share between 4 people and it was just under £20!

Worth every penny. Had the mutton Roti and the spicy chicken….. both were very very good! Only one order per table per visit so choose wisely. Sometimes they have a line but it’s worth the wait. Enjoy!

Tiny place with a long line up. Food was excellent, service was good. Price is very good, portions smallish, so we should have ordered 4 for 3 of us. They have a one time order policy, so it would be too late to add something. A very nice meal with nice flavour. Recommended.

Excellent food and friendly, quick service. The restaurant is very small but with a quick turnover. Although queues do get quite long, I didn’t have to wait too long - about 20 minutes. It’s worth the wait! Food is excellent. Rotis are flaky and delicious and the curry’s are equally as good. There is a one order policy, so keep that in mind. Would recommend.

This may be the beginning of an unhealthy obsession, I’ve ordered 2 days back to back now. My first experience at Roti King was at their Battersea branch and food was great. I saw them on Ubereats but was apprehensive to give it a try since take away deliveries can be a hit and miss. Packaging: No spills, curry was secured and temperature was reasonable. I didn’t expect it to be piping hot considering the distance and weather. Taste: Exact same great taste, flavour or presentation was not compromised. No difference than eating in. Portion: I think portions are reasonable considering the price. I’m a greedy pig so I do need 2 order 2 mains to fill me up. If you order a curry with roti, order an extra roti (or 2) so you can have the perfect curry-roti ratio. The best thing is that you don’t have to queue up when you order online. Either way don’t hesitate to order or dine in. All their dishes are great, it’s so hard to recommend one.

This place has a long queue. I came at 5:30 pm on a rainy day and the line was 30-40 min long estimated wait time. Luckily, I was a party of 1 and got seated at the one bar stool in the restaurant. I sampled the roti canai with chicken, the mee goreng, and the dessert roti. Everything was really, really good - the place is worth the hype. The roti is actually freshly made, as the restaurant proudly shows. On its own, you can tell it’s homemade compared to the frozen rotis that you’ve had at the grocery store but this tastes fresher and more authentic. I like to put chicken and curry on top of the roti for the true Malaysian experience! The mee goreng was perfectly seasoned, and had a nice combination of flavors and textures. Among the best I’ve had! The dessert roti was also nice and warm and blended well together with the roti.

Went twice here on this week because the food taste very food but you have to ready to queue. The 1st time here, I arrived 15 minutes before they open and there were queue. The 2nd time, I went on Thursday night at 19h and I waited for an hour. But it’s worth it! Quick service (but you only can order once so prepare to order everything you want) too. Love everything I tried so far: Nasi Goreng, Kari Laksa, Ayam Goreng, Kangkung Belancan, spinach and cheese roti is a must try! But the teh tarik is too creamy for my taste. These do satisfy my Indonesian taste 👍🏻

As everyone already mentioned, there will be a waiting line and it's part of the experience. Beware: if it rains (remember you’re in London) there’s no cover. No alcohol but there’s a 12.5 corkage charge per table for byo alcohol. Clearly, great roti.

At Roti King, the anticipation begins even before you step through the door, with a queue that speaks volumes about the culinary delights that await inside. The wait outside, though a test of patience, only heightens the sensory experience once seated. Each dish exudes a symphony of flavors that transports you directly to the heart of authentic cuisine. The rotis, true to the restaurant's name, are flaky perfection, complementing the rich gravies and meticulously spiced accompaniments. Service is prompt and attentive, making the overall experience memorable. It's not just a meal; it's a journey, and one that's well worth the wait. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an unparalleled taste adventure.

This is what a truly Malaysian meal should be like. I came here twice with my girlfriend and had a great time, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Sometimes there is a queue, so you may have to wait before entering. Also, the place closes at 15 for a while if I recall correctly so take that into account. After being seated we were informed that we had to order everything we wanted since the start, that's just how it works there. After the food was brought my girlfriend was sooooo happy, because she said it was truly authentic, this is exactly what it would be like in Malaysia. To summarize, take into account the opening and closing times, the queue, and the great authentic Malaysian food.
