The name Zipbab means ‘home food’ and the concept is to offer simple, hearty Korean family dishes rather than typical restaurant fare. The result is a delicious authentic Korean food experience unique to London. Oh and the owners and staff are lovely too.
They make the best tuna kimbab in the UK. It is amazing.
One of the best Korean meal ever had in London.
The food was delicious and filling! Prices are not too high and portions are quite big. Staff is nice
Great place to experience Korean cuisine! Very nice place for dinner with friends/family or to grab lunch to go.
Tried quite few thigs - kimchi jjigae, pancake, kimchi set, pork belly BBQ, various kimbaps.
Highly recommend 🙌🏻
Zipbab Korean Restaurant is a great place to go for delicious and quick Korean food. The food was cooked fresh and the portions are generous. I popped in during my visits around the local museums for lunch and I ordered the Gimbab, which is a Korean dish made with rice, vegetables, and spiced ham wrapped in a seaweed roll (similar to the Japanese maki sushi rolls) and the seafood pancakes and both dishes were delicious all made & cooked to order. The restaurant also has a wide variety of other Korean dishes, so you are sure to find something that you like.
The service at Zipbab is good. The staff are friendly and helpful. The atmosphere at the restaurant is casual and relaxed, and it is a great place to go with friends or family.
Looking forward to try out more delicious dishes on my next visit!
This place is amazing! The quality and taste of the food is so good and it is one of the best places in London to try korean food. The owners and staff are so nice and friendly and would definitely recommend going there.
One of the best korean restaurant in central area! Especially for work lunch when you want to sit down and enjoy rather than takeaway to take it back to the office. The KFC, ramen noodles, kimchi fried rice and bibimbap are the best picks from the menu!!
So glad we tried this place. It looks a little like a deli counter when you first walk in, but there are tables at the back. When we arrived at 7pm on a Thursday there was almost no one there, but halfway during the meal we looked around and realised loads of people had arrived and the place was full - always a good sign!
The food was amazing, some of the best Korean I’ve had in London. The seafood pancake came in individual portions, which was slightly strange, but it was crisp and tasty. The japchae was chewy and springy, which I really enjoyed - not a fan when it’s over cooked and becomes wet and mushy. We also had a beef stir fry that was sweet and savoury, really delicious.
But my favourite was the KFC (we had the soy flavour). I’ve had quite a bit of KFC in London now and it’s difficult to get right - the batter can’t be too heavy, the seasoning can’t be too sweet and the chicken still needs to be moist. This one was just right - would go back just for that.
Special mention to the lovely service. The staff is warm, friendly and really attentive - they spotted when we needed water refills, helped us arrange the table, immediately took empty plates away.
Not the cheapest (for four dishes it was just shy of £60) but well worth it - and we took the leftovers for another meal. Will be back!
I loved this cozy little
Korean place and it ticked all the boxes. Excellent food, varied menu, friendly staff and great prices. The bimbap were the perfect comfort food to end a day waking around London. I’ll definitely be back to try the other dishes especially the fried chicken which looked great.
We wanted a nice tasty place to eat. This was just that. I love a bibimbap and was craving. This place did not disappoint. Cheap. Cheerful. Quick. And so handy!!!! The clean plate says it all.
Decent korean food. Service was great. Staff were friendly. Place was busy during peak lunch hour and seating space is limited.
Ordered veg sushi which was delicious - although they dont serve any wasabi or ginger with it.
Also had the tofu hot pot which was also nice especially with the sauce.
Lastly, had the veg Ramen which was bit disappointing. The noodles were maggi noodle style. Not much veg in the dish either. The Broth made it more edible.
The 3 dishes came to £28.
Overall would recommend it for some decent authentic korean food.
This a very underrated spot, the staff was amazing and the food came out quick and was lovely especially the soy chicken bimimbap A1.
