Music and dancing on tables along with 700 other people, a proper pub
This is the most awsome pub in London. :)
When I speak to people about pubs in Crystal Palace this watering hole never comes up in conversation and I was on my way to another boozer up in Gipsy Hill.
As I walked up Westow Hill I glanced across the road and locked eyes on the Royal Albert and I thought to myself; that pub has got qualities that delight the eye so I popped in and treated myself to a pint of timothy Taylor’s brewery.
As expected it was friendly locals pub with a couple of screens dotted around for the football and I even had a lovely chat with one of the locals while I enjoyed my pint.
Moral of the story don’t be afraid to try somewhere new!!
Excellent pub with nice Tim Taylor's. The landlord is a very nice man also. Try the ploughman's - you won't regret it!
If you want a modern theme pub, this ain't it, but that's a good thing, it's a good old fashioned pub, there is no parking, but there is seating outside the front, the pricing is reasonable and they have great live events.
Great old traditional pub in Crystal Palace.
They have live music and serve very good beer. Good for all different age groups and friendly staff behind the bar.
A lovely classic pub set in the heart of crystal palace. Great service and clean. Nice selection of drinks.
Came here for a beer before a festival in the park, the place was fairly nice for a quick sit down.
Great pub, Bernie, the manager has been there for many years and looks after his customers well !!
Best pub in Crystal Palace! It’s not a newfangled yuppie bar or gastropub, it’s a good old fashioned true-to-word pub, and I love it. The guv’nor is a gem who’s been here 22 years and the original features - him included! - are classic pub. 11/10
