Pleasant cafe in the crypt underneath St John’s Smith Square. Very reasonable prices, and pleasant surroundings in the below-ground crypt.

I made a quick visit to the Footstool Cafe (17/03/23 @1250) before a meeting. When entering, you are welcomed by a warm and homely ambience with the sounds of music playing from the stage upstairs.
The young lady who was serving was so happy to talk whilst preparing the coffee. Her customer service was welcoming and amazing.

Really nice quiet atmosphere, doesn't seem to be a tourist hotspot (not sure why, it's lovely) so it's a nice escape from the busy streets. Food is good and cheap!

The foot stool café in the crypt of Saint John Smith square is definitely a find.
It was very quiet and tranquil on my visit. I also had the pleasure of listening to a double cello recital which was taking place. The icing on the cake so to speak was to have a nice coffee and a pastry while listening.

I absolutely loved my experience at the Footstool
It had a wide variety of foods which are delicious.
My wife and I recommend this place to anyone who lives in the area. my children came out the restaurant with smiles on there face they loved it!
