Footstool Restaurant - London - Photo album

Pleasant cafe in the crypt underneath St John’s Smith Square. Very reasonable prices, and pleasant surroundings in the below-ground crypt. Recommended!
I made a quick visit to the Footstool Cafe (17/03/23 @1250) before a meeting. When entering, you are welcomed by a warm and homely ambience with the sounds of music playing from the stage upstairs. The young lady who was serving was so happy to talk whilst preparing the coffee. Her customer service
The foot stool café in the crypt of Saint John Smith square is definitely a find. It was very quiet and tranquil on my visit. I also had the pleasure of listening to a double cello recital which was taking place. The icing on the cake so to speak was to have a nice coffee and a pastry while listeni
Bit in the expensive side, especially given the cakes are not fresh
Really nice quiet atmosphere, doesn't seem to be a tourist hotspot (not sure why, it's lovely) so it's a nice escape from the busy streets. Food is good and cheap!
Nice environment and good service. Slow cooked beef cheek superb, very tender. Apple and rhubarb crumble had an aniseed taste but very nice. Prices are reasonable for that part of London. Given its proximity to parliament it is quite discreet and out of the way of crowds.
Very impressed by this restaurant. We decided to stay for a meal after a concert. They have a full restaurant menu but also a cheaper buffet service of both hot and cold food. We had this buffet choice and it was very good. Also, lovely cakes and good coffee. Staff were friendly and there was a very

Lovely atmosphere and good food. Portions a bit off... Tiny main but huge dessert. I'd still recommend though

Nice place to grab lunch with colleagues or have a private 1-2-1.
Great food. Friendly service. New chef on board well worth checking out.
Nice and cosy. The coffee and food was good. It's a nice place to relax and it's got a warm ambiance.
I visited for lunch once last year with a number of colleagues after a meeting close by. It was clean, convenient and the food was good.
Quality and healthy food served in a pleasant environment. Friendly and helpful staff.
I enjoyed my sea bass but those who chose risotto weren't very happy.
Really nice lunch. I had the soup which was very tasty.
