I've been invited by a dear friend to join her at her local polish cafe after listing all the delicious food she already tryed.
The seating area and order counter is on the back of the shop that sells all the range of polish ingredients, but is well separated from the customers that are doing their shopping.
I've already some favourite dishes, so I decided to go for them to see how well they are prepared here, and I was a bit disappointed. Fried breaded chicken, pierogi and mushroom soup are good but not that burst of flavours I was expecting and the portions are quite small compared to other places in my area. It is a nice place and I want to go back to try the cakes, but it's worth only if you are in the area and not that hungry.
A lovely Polish restaurant in the neighborhood. I am a regular here and the food has never disappointed. The food is delicious, the portions are reasonable and the service is swift. The staff is friendly and happy to serve. The goulash with potato pancakes is a must try. the ambiance is friendly.
This was my second visit to this restaurant and I came here with a close friend to have some not-so-expensive but nice dining experience. This place offers a nice variety of dishes and the food is prepared fresh, the portions are quite big and the staff is pretty friendly as well. I would highly recommend their 'Placek po zbojnigku', which is a dish prepared in goulash and potatoes pancakes.
I must say that this place serves really good Polish food that i have had so far. There are minor flaws like the potatoes in my dish were slightly under cooked but over all the flavors and taste of almost each dish was perfect and very close to authentic Polish food. Highly recommended!
This is a nice little place to have some good Polish food, there';s quite a variety on offer too. The decor is ordinary, unimposing, but nice. The food was very good, and the options astounding. The drinks were wonderful too. The place has a very loyal set of local customers which shows the quality of food and service here. The portions are sizeable and the everything really cheap too.
This place is usually packed during weekends and that is one reason I was so keen on visiting this place when I was in the neighborhood. We were having a hard time figuring out what to order so the waitress recommended us to try their pork in mushroom sauce which was tender and tasted delicious.
It was great to get a selection of sides which was complimentary and the portions were quite big as well. I would love to visit this place again whenever I get the chance.
The place is extremely addictive and enticing. I keep going back to this place and get cravings every now and then. There is not one person i know, to whom i did not recommend this place. Their cakes and other polish delights are simply mouthwatering. Only suggestion , the staff should be slightly more amicable!
An authentic polish restaurant in the neighborhood. The food is delicious. the portions are generous. The ingredients speak of the freshness and their supreme quality. We also tried the cakes which were a happy surprise. the service is decent and the prices are reasonable. The ambiance is friendly and comfortable.
I went to check this place out last week and found a large variety of pastries and sandwiches. The food was well cooked and the owners were quite friendly too. The place was pretty clean and seemed to run well. Another good thing about the cafe was that they are willing to cook something on request if the customer wishes to order it.
The easy location of the place from my residence made this restaurant my instant favorite. I frequent this place very much and have never been let down. The menu has some really great dishes on offer and according to me the most incredible part is the savory section. The portion size is unbelievable and the taste delicious.
The quality is very authentic and classic.
I highly recommend trying the potato pancake, dashingly good!
A nice small polish cafe and restaurant in East London. Food was reasonably priced and good portions sizes too! We had smalec, perogi's, schab w/ mash , mixed salad side, two coffees and a slice of choc cheesecake all for £24! Stuffed!
Their service as sweet as their cakes :)

Very tasty, traditional Polish food. Friendly people and lot of space inside. Children friendly. Good access.
We go there every couple of months. Quality of food can vary but its never disappointing. Yesterday was delicious, sometimes its just good. This is not Michelin star high cuisine but for a café it definitely deserves 5 google stars.
The only thing we do not like is that they make you pay when you order, because of this they don't get a tip.
Great quality traditional Polish food!
What a great find!! Our portions were very very generous and extremely inexpensive. The pork dish came with a salad trio of carrot salad, slaw, and home made sauerkraut. The pieroghi were delicious overstuffed bags of well seasoned meat sprinkled with bacon bits. Yummmmmmm!!! I could go on and on. . . . PS . staff is soooo nice.
I tried both the grocery store and the cafe. I kept buying their roasted bacon and the beers at the grocery. And enjoy the cake and coffee at the next door. Great value, friendly staff! Only pity is there is no power socket, which I think will drive away those whose phones are about to die or students who look for a inexpensive place to click their keyboards.
Never had traditional Polish food before and wasn't disappointed. I had the Beef Goulash and it was very nice. Also enjoyed the salad. Big portion couldn't finish it.

Hearty portions of traditional Polish food at this popular cafe/restaurant. This is the closest we've found in London to the 'milk bars' you get in Poland. The goulash in potato pancake was my favourite. I am a big eater and could not finish my plate so come hungry! Kompot is a sweet drink-think of a cordial that tastes like jam. We also enjoyed the mixed salad which comes with the meal. Meals are proceed between £7-11. Service is good, but note that you order at the till.
