Cuisine de Bar by Poilane is similar to Le Pain Quotidien in many ways (just more charming) and just like at the omnipresent Belgian boulangerie chain, you can order a good value bread basket with spreads at Cuisine de Bar by Poilane. Their salty caramel spread with the gorgeous fresh bread was very moreish indeed.
Found this wonderful place just off Sloane square. It shows you not to judge a book by its cover., You might walk right past it. They have wonderful service and super friendly staff
The coffee is wonderful, they also have superb menu for lunch and to top if off an outdoor area downstairs.
Modern and comfortable, young vibe, good for socialising and working on your laptop. Most amazing jam I've ever tasted. Coffee was great too.
Great location just a side step off Sloane Square, behind Peter Jones and the King's Road. Aesthetically pleasing inside and out. A French vibe inside feeling very relaxed. Not only will you find the usual varying shapes and sizes of tables as one would expect in a cafe/restaurant but there are many individual writing style tables for one person only. They face out into the room making one feel very comfortable to be dining on one's own. I visited twice, once for breakfast and once for lunch. The crushed avocado on toast is one of it's most popular breakfast dishes; I spotted at least 4 other customers eating this too. I did have to ask for more butter to be served with the toast but the waitress was more than happy to supply extra. The fruit salad was very fresh but it could have done with more variety; it consisted of bananas, clementines and apples. The orange juice was super and I rated it 9/10. The hot chocolate was 10/10 and the late was 9/10 both in flavour but the cup sizes are very small, so one would need to order two!
The lunch was a disappointment. I had a large salad. Too many spindly lettuce leaves (spinach or varied leaves would have made it more interesting). Generous dollop of humus mixed with a few largely sliced tomatoes and artichokes on sourdough bread (the bread was tasty). The toilets are located down two flights of stairs.
The chicken salad was delicious. Very well decorated place. Staff weren't overly friendly, wanted us to come and go quickly it seemed
Wonderful environment . Excellent service. Food is great . Soup of the day carrot and corriander was delicious. Don't forget to buy their fresh biscuits and breads.
Cute and cosy place with a charming atmosphere. Perfect for a meet-up with a friend, or an intimate coffee break- they have tables for single persons!
Healthy delicious tartins.. loved the grilled vegetables salad
I just love it here. Well run and on the ball. Food is good and i would say healthy fresh.
I did have a cake and a small coffee and came to £9.00. so it is on the pricy side 😐
Staff always friendly and happy. Beautifully done inside and i wish i lived round the corner so i could pop in every afternoon.
Very classy clientele and great location. It's a must to come here.
They are also very lap 🐩 friendly 😊👏
Very helpful staff. Found us seats very quickly on a busy Sunday afternoon. Pity did not have time to taste any food. My friend an art restorer loved this painting.
Nice ambiance, good coffee, great croissants.
I often come here to meet friends for a casual lunch. The price is okay and it's conveniently located near the Sloane Square. Also, the fact that it's discretely placed on Cadogan Gardens makes it feel like a bit of a hidden gem that only locals know about.
