This chain of Indian restaurants makes it difficult to miss ghar ka khana. Tried every possible dish here. Despite being a vegetarian restaurant. The paneer tikka masala and the onion rava masala dosa is a must try.
Love it. The masala dosas are awesome. Try it. You'll love it. And so nice to have a good vege restaurant option.
It is not very often that my mum gets a chance to come down to London! So on this special occasion, I decided to take her out for some dosas! Dosas are thin pancakes made from ground lentils and rice, which are then fermented. The first place that came to mind was the Woodlands restaurant. I knew that their speciality is dosas as well as other south Indian dishes. They also have north Indian dishes on the menu! To start the meal, we had two colourful drinks! The freshly squeezed apple, carrot and ginger juice was pretty refreshing. The mango lassi was made with Alphonso mangoes and yoghurt. I am used to mango lassi having a thick consistency but this one was fairly thin. It was still enjoyable though! There were many starters on the menu that looked interesting but then we decided only to go for two, so that we would room for our main dosa meal! The waiter said that it would be better not to choose the idli for the starter if we were having dosas later. This was because they are made f
Delicious South Asian food and all vegan. Everything we ate was good but I would recommend the Dosas - lentil pancakes. The staff are knowledgeable about the ingredients and helpful if you have allergies. Closes in the afternoon from 3pm to 6pm, which is a shame, and parking in Hampstead is a very difficult without a permit.
Have been to the other two branches in London many times, and the food of a similar standard here - very good. I struggle to believe the negative reviews - I've never had a bad meal at any branch of Woodlands, and can't really understand how anyone could come here and not enjoy it, unless they either fundamentally didn't like Indian food, or had a very blinkered sense of what it should be and weren't prepared to be open minded enough to have a meal without meat.
I think the Woodlands restaurants display some of the most intelligent use of spices of any Indian restaurant I've been to, and as a vegetarian the variety on offer is a delight. The South Indian dosas are also an interesting addition to more familiar Indian dishes found elsewhere in the UK.
It was a bit dead on the Sunday lunchtime when we visited but that suited us just fine.
Great food, really tasty. The restaurant was empty so we didn't have to wait long to get served. Friendly staff. The waiter didn't mind our 2 small dogs. We highly recommend this restaurant.
The staff here a really lovely. Excellent vegetarian or vegan meals with all sorts of beautiful flavours. Perfect after a long walk in Hampstead heath. It's not far from Jack Straws castle.
Very nice service, good food, and just 3 minutes away from the High Street.
If - like me - you're not vegetarian, don't worry, its tasty, and satisfying.
Amazing! I've very rarely been able to have a satisfying vegetarian meal but this was definitely an exception. Food tastes truly amazing, staff is friendly, prices are decent!
Best Indian food in London. We have eaten here on many occasions and the food has always been excellent. The service is good and delivery option is nice
Had an amazing dinner here last night. Staff were friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. Will definitely be back.
Super Indian food. I liked the flavor, though the service was a little slow. Overall a great culinary experience though.
Delicious South Indian food. Always good quality. They have a vegan menu too.
