I lived in Romania for 5 years 🇷🇴 and, although I've eaten plenty of good food, this place made the best sarmale and best papanaşi I've ever had! Friendly staff who were happy to let me practise my Romanian, clean restaurant and facilities, huge portions of delicious food at a cheap price and happy Romanian music in the background.
My non-Romanian friend came with me and enjoyed every bite as much as I did!
We were so happy with the food that we ordered a portion of sarmale and mămăligă for delivery the following evening. Equally as impressed.
These guys have two new regular customers!

From my point of view was a nice experience.
Only complain is regarding the music.But as everyone knows when you speak about music is something very difficult to satisfy everyone tastes.

I did my wedding party here. Small in size but big in hospitality and with Excellent food quality! I recommend this place without any hesitation!! Enjoy!

Tasty and garlicky, what more could you want? Huge portions and cheap prices? They've got that, too! Great waitresses and very friendly. I think they were surprised to see non-Romanian patrons hahaha Nonetheless they were awesome and helped us learn the menu. We had a good time and would come back if in the mood for Eastern European food!

I have dinners here quite often,especially when keen on Tripe Soup as this restaurant serves one of the best.The restaurant is very authentic,with very helpful and friendly staff and live Romanian music.A very welcoming environment that feels like home away from home. So if you want to have a taste of what Romania is all about,this is definitely the place.

Nice and cozy place.. Best Romanian food and keeping the standard up for the last five years. Other Romanian restaurants after a while will give you less and less for the same amount of money but not Amurg. I was there today after 1 year. Same good food all this time. Well done guys.

Amazing Romanian foods in this restaurant. You must pop by and try it out at least once. I do believe that you will be very pleased with any random choice on menu. Prices are affordable and quite lovely and friendly staff.

My culinary world tour through London brought me to Leytonestone last week, where I indulged in some Romanian fare. It took my friend and me about the same time to get there as it would to fly to Bucharest, but I'd say it was worth the experience. As it happens Leytonestone is home to two Romanian restaurants, but we opted for the one called Amurg. I forgot to ask what it meant, but Google Translate tells me it means 'twilight'. That might explain the tinted windows which at first glance made us think the place was closed. However, when we saw two guys sitting at a table near the window, we realised that it was actually open for business.
