Tracey kindly made me a gluten free honey cake for my partner's birthday. It isn't even a cake she'd made before but being the artist she is Tracey was up for the challenge. My partner was really pleased with his cake and scoffed two slices right off the bat! Thank you Tracey!

I asked Tracy for Boss Baby Pop cake's for a friend of mine in Ireland, Tracy made them exactly as the photos given to her. Everyone said that they were delicious and how good they were. All the way to Ireland and everyone perfect. I can't praise Tracy enough. She is just fantastic 😍

In my childhood I would bake leading onto an interesting family business of working as a pastry chef, during this time I baked wedding cakes, desserts that got into the good pub food guide UK and more importantly getting experience in how a good cake tastes.
I had ordered two cakes from Tracey with one for my own birthday and one for my partner’s; to say that my expectations as both a customer and a former chef were met is an understatement.
My partner described their cake as
‘So good that I want to eat more despite I am completely full’
I would add to that
‘This baker creates wonderful creations both artistic and flavoursome’
Honestly I am a little envious of how well together these cakes are, the crumb is golden brown, texture has a great mouth feel and bite. Icing is wonderfully artistically put evenly throughout and the flavours are spot on, as a former chef I cannot stress how wonderful the cakes are and how thoroughly I would recommend them.
If you have any excuse to order a cake from Essence of Cakes, take a sweet day and enjoy a marvellous taste experience, I would personally recommend a stunning strawberry and cream flavour cake as a great start before you realise you need to order from them for every event.

I've had three courses with Tracey, two wilton courses and one bespoke. Tracey is very knowledgeable and extremely talented. She is relaxed and fun to be around, I've enjoyed every single course with her. All Tracey needs to now is to do is full patisserie courses (yes thats a hint lol)

Tracey was brilliant! I booked her to for a cupcake decorating sessions for a group of young people and they ALL loved it. She was organised, professional, friendly and a pleasure to work with. I will be using her services again for sure.

Definitely recommend this place for cakes and desserts. Requested a wedding cake with special requests under tight deadlines but they were more than happy to oblige. The cake was better than we had expected, tasted really good, gave us advice on what would be good in terms of ingredients and designs.
