Delicious food and excellent service. I will definitely visit it again.

When it comes to Greek takeout in town, this place is undoubtedly a winner. From the moment you place your order until the moment you savor your first bite, you can expect a remarkable experience that sets the bar high for Greek cuisine.

My favourite place to get food in New Cross. Delicious. Consistently highly quality, I’ve eaten and ordered from here plenty of times.

Holy moly, what an amazing place. I had the mixed gyros pitta, and it was INCREDIBLE. Efharisto poly!!!!

The lamb kabab was nice, but we had to wait a while for the food to be ready. My meat platter was salty but reasonably priced. It is cash only, which we were lucky to have some cash. They do not serve any hot drinks either. It is quite basic.

Had a bad experience with an order that the restaurant staff let sit in the delivery booking system asking them to accept for 15 minutes, which they ultimately ignored and was auto cancelled by Deliveroo. Pretty poor form as it was within their listed working hours.
Gave them a second chance. Food was pretty good. Portion sizes was decent also. Changed my review accordingly.
One thing I will say, after a couple of orders now.
The food is good. However when you order a meat and chips (for example) comes in one box, and it's mostly chips. Chips all at the bottom. Then a layer of pork one side and then more chips the other.
Sneaky way to keep costs down, but IMO I'd rather they put the prices up than try the old "fill them up with bread" trick.
Will maybe order once more. If the same thing happens. Will stop ordering as I order online expecting to get a fair amount of what I order. Not a box fill of chips and a bit of meat. In person you can always open it and check. But once delivered. You're stuck (which most restaurants are fully aware of).

As close to Greece as it can be at New Cross with this 'gyro pita', the legendary Greek fast food Nr.1! Great meats, big portions, soft drinks and ayran. Sit in or take away. Toilet available downstairs. Lovely and kind staff happy to help also with directions around the area.

Pitta house's gyros are so delicious and authentic. If you miss good Greek street food, this is the best place in London to find it. Also, staff members are very friendly 🙂
It takes me about an hour to drive here, but it's worth it.
