Have only been here a couple of times, but love it! A proper old-fashioned"caff" with all the usual things on the menu - great chips - and good portions. There are people there who've obviously been going for years, and the staff know them and they know the staff. A lot of the customers know each other too. Even I have seen people there that I know! A very nice friendly place.

We visited yesterday on a recommendation from a friend who eats here pretty much every day. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent too (Especially the fantastic Potato Pancakes) Would definitely go out of my way to eat here again if I was in the Hackney area.

They were very generous and even increased my milkshake size when I asked them They are generous and they are extremely clean, they keep every type of food separate so if you are a vegetarian you won’t need to worry

Great food (breakfast) Cheap very clean place. Easy parking tesco carpark opposite Friendly staff and one beautiful waitress o had a full English breakfast with bubble and black pudding coffee and two toasts for £8 what is a great price and they give you a choice of beef or pork or vegetarian sausage. So you can't go wrong at that price and a choice of eggs fried scrambled or poached

Nice & pleasant customer service, food portions good, hot meals always served up hot. Dislike on the menu the Ham is not real? Wiltshire or cured sliced ham but only square sliced processed supermarket cheap plastic packed ham. Cafe is always unpleasantly warm inside away from the actual winter, they have a full industrial proper air conditioning system installed but it's never ever on. The outside tables directly outside the entrance to the cafe door, should definitely be made non-smoking, they allow smokers smoke to come into cafe with customers eating can smell & are passively swallowing the smoke due to door always open due to temperature inside. All of the outside tables (Especially during warm/sunny weather) are always used high % (Not all but a lot) by a mix of custom of individuals making a cup of tea or coffee last for over an hour, including local down & outs which is a turn off for paying customers, plus other customers just using tables to sit down to have a chat & a cigarette, all this together on a regular basis 'From the outside looking in' as a prospective new customer doesn't visually make Dilara's very attractive at all, with customers wanting to sit outside to eat a meal, having to go elsewhere 'Turned away' due to no high standards of outside table management or frightened of approaching people to tell them to leave, who are not eating at all or have made one hot drink last for a very long & out order period...

One of only a few old style cafes left in Hackney. Excellent staff and reasonably priced. Decent helpings and quite a, wide range of dishes on the menu. A Hackney favourite and very much a community cafe.
