L'orchidee Boutique Patisserie

I walked past this boutique everyday on my commute to work. The marketing strategy for themed cake as displayed on the counter totally work! I'd like a good quality themed cake for my son's 2nd birthday party but didn't want an overly sweet cake which just looks nice. (My in laws are french and they know their patisserie!) So I googled L'orchidee and found this cake and picked it up from the store in Canary Wharf. I'm happy I can have a selection of filling to choose from. I selected the Ferrero Rocher ganache cake. We were not disappointed! The ganache was wrapped around by a layer of white chocolate before the layer of fondant on the outside. The cake was moist and not too sweet. It's delicious! I will definitely buy a cake from L'orchidee again. Ps Although when I picked up my cake, it's bizarre that it's stored on top of the fridge! It felt like it's been left there for a little while. But I guess there's no other space to keep it in the tiny shop? In conclusion, my son had the biggest smile on his face when he saw the cake! The things we do for our little one.......
