Having read the previous reviews before venturing to Yumchaa for an afternoon meeting, I was a little worried about the suggestion from my colleague. However, pleased to say that our visit was a very nice one. Staff were welcoming and courteous, drinks were hot and the cafe itself was an usual setting, but a very nice one. It has a real community feel...students on Macs, parents with children etc...would recommend
Awesome selection of teas to please the most discerning of tea fans. Good for lazy afternoon with friends or a solid stint on the latest paper for uni.

This place has such a great selection of teas - they're all in little jars at the counter and you can give them a good sniff before deciding. Cakes are bountiful and delicious. The furniture is lovely and higgledypiggledy, although sometimes a bit wooden and lean-to for my liking. Lovely little cafe for a pit stop.
They have a large selection of speciality mixed teas as well as coffee, sandwiches, cakes and scones. The paninis are delicious and we'll priced. Cakes are heavy and scones aren't light, but many people prefer it that way. The best on offer is tea. It is always loose leaf, good quality, and there are some weird and wonderful combinations. Don't forget the 2for1 offer on all food items if you have a Tastecard.
Has to be one of the best tea houses around. Really lovely staff, and although often very busy the place feels comfy and airy. A very casual hang-out but genuinely good tea, food, and always service with a smile. Brilliant place!!!!
For those of us without the urge to sport neon dreadlocks, Camden now balances out the dubious takeaway places with very cool spots like Yumchaa on Parkway. It's a great place to meet someone for a gossip - a big, light, sparse room with beautiful furniture. There's an interesting selection of teas, good coffee and great snacks - although if you're feeling peckish, you might be better off somewhere else.
Pick your drinks carefully; the matcha latte was really not very nice.
Ahhh this place is gorgeous. They do a huuuge selection of teas with awesome names! I tried one with hints of caramel in it that was amazing. I also had an oat and pistachio scone which I didn't expect much from but it was really really nice. We came as a massive group and they were really accommodating. A nice place to relax after a long day of Camden market browsing!
Quirky, lazy, cosy, Moody place on a cold wet day. Perfect. Plays James Taylor so gets my vote.
