Dezato

Stumbled upon this place while nosing around my old hood. What a gem! Super sweet and friendly service (she let me have jelly instead of boba, thank you!), and really delicious tea. I had assam milk tea with lychee jelly and it was easily as good as I've had in Taiwan or HK. It also looked like they do egg waffle as well, although I didn't try. I got takeout but would also be a nice sunny spot to people-watch as is right on a corner on buzzy Blackstock Road. What a great addition to the neighbourhood! Thank you Dezato.

Wow it’s great to come back to Dezato a year later to see what’s changed. The new bubble tea is unparralled and isn’t achingly sweet with a great offset of slightly bitter black or green tea. The cafe now has a brilliant, social set-up to chat with friends amongst the Japanese prints and relax despite the relatively small space. The only thing that could be better is if the discontinued matcha crepe cake could be brought back!!
