I went to the small cinema (studio) which has roughly 35-40 seats. Saw Past Lives which was phenomenal. I felt like I was eavesdropping to Celine Song’s (Director) life throughout the movie. I think this movie will win an Academy and a BAFTA. One reminiscent thing though about the cinema, there is this certain smell to it which reminded me of how old-ish cinemas back home smell. It is not very unpleasant but it also is not pleasant but I think is a very common smell of cinemas. Haha. I can’t exactly point it out but that is what it reminded me of.

Attended this venture for a Netflix preview screening and the place felt luxurious and the staff were great! The screen itself was clean and very well kept with extremely good quality! Had a really great time and will certainly return sometime soon 🥰

Attended a world film premiere (The Book of Clarence) here and it was very well organised. The staff including security had excellent customer service. The whole evening was fun and the film was brilliant. Fabulous cinema, great night.

I've never been to the BFI Southbank before although I've offered gone past it when visiting London. The main reason why I came today was that because The Wicker Man is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. It made sense to come and see this iconic movie over here. If you're a film fan or you like movie archives. This is really the best place to go to. I used to work at a cinema chain a while ago and I consider it an honour to come here, a few years back I also helped out at the London Film Festival.

Visited this place while trying to kill some time between attractions. Managed to get a table of 5 straight away at around 3pm on a Thursday. Funky restaurant/bar joined onto the cinema. Had some chips and pizza. Service was quick! Made the pizza greasy as watched them do it. Food was nice. Ok price for the location. Place was pretty clean. Visited the toilets which where ok….. Great location and imagine quite funky at night.

Loved this place for new and old screenings! Went here for a special preview of Netflix's Obsession and Q&A session with Richard Armitage and Indira Varma who were great! Indira was especially hilarious and charming. Also went here for a screening of Barbie and the atmosphere was incredible. Such an enthusiastic audience, it really lifted our spirits too. NFT1 is their main screen where we saw both. The cafe and bar are also great to chill before or after a screening.

I have been visiting it for 15 years. One of the best place to meet up for drinks or coffee... Especially if you are into films... I have started visiting it at least once a week for my work. Great place for it. The music is nice but not too loud. And staff are super friendly...

It's a nice cinema, feels more like a theater, quite 'adult' feeling actually. I recommend definitely if you're under 25, you can get £3 tickets if you sign up (for free). Plays a few new releases but mainly old movies from what I could gather

Would totally recommend the BFI for students the 5 pound 16-25 tickets are unbeatable and you can watch anything from newly released movies to classics meant for the big screen. The projection rooms are large and comfy for a pleasant viewing.

My favorite place in London. All kind of arthouse movies, carefully curated. The seating, screens and reception are very nice, especially cleaner than the commercial chains. The ticket price is dirt cheap. Become a member and you can get even more discounts, early booking and viewing plan. If you love filmaking, the BFI is like your visual library, your playground.
