Great freshly made food
Nice friendly staff and good value
Love the food, but the Service with the Team leader leaves a lot to be desired. Very sharp and not customer friendly, rest of the staff brilliant.
I have a love-hate relationship with Wasabi. I hate that I love it. It’s perfect for a stressful work lunchtime and it does consistently deliver a slightly above average level of satisfaction. Never stellar, but never disappointing. That’s Wasabi. My last menu sampling with the tofu curry with yaki soba. I mean, that doesn’t even make sense. There’s a cool amount of tofu in both the dishes and although it didn’t go well together, I was happy to have players from both fields. The noodles were a bit dry here, the curry was up to its usual standard. The tofu was in a way more enjoyable than the usual chicken options they dish out. Cheap eating, mostly satisfied. Full definitely.
I had the sushi takeaway box which included salmon roll, prawn sushi and another one. I loved it. The packing is perfect. It contains wasabi and soy sauce and containers for them. The sushi taste fresh. I also had the chicken bento box. This has a large serving. Its good value for money.
This place NEVER disappoints. Except with their ramen I guess. Too much galangal for my liking. But their vegetarian sushi set is to salivate for. They add a seaweed salad side and edamame tossed in sesame on the side. Absolutely LOVED it! Also their edamame pot is the cheapest and best value across all other stores in London.
I used to frequently have my lunches at Wasabi. I generally used to have the Spicy Chicken curry with rice. The portions were good and the food tasty. Not much to complain about. I'd recommend that particular curry. The Chicken Katsu (just the Katsu, not with curry) is very tasty too.
Wasabi is a perfect place to stop for a quick, yummy and filling Japanese meal - whether that's a Katsu curry or just simple sushi. It won't be the best Japanese food you'll ever eat, but it's affordable and super quick. One of their real highlights is their palm sized Mochi, which comes in green, white and pink and is the perfect snack for any Mochi lover. The only issue is actually finding a seat in Wasabi, as every one I've ever been to has been packed!
Really not a place to shout about to actual Japanese people or those with a taste for haute cuisine/ genuine sushi, but the absolute go to for those who are ravenously hungry and have half an hour between meetings to fuel up.It's décor is clear and simple; plastic chairs and glass walls making it a perfect people-watching position as you inhale your noodles or maki.Prices border reasonable; you're looking at an average of £5 for a boxset or hot plate. Whilst I do love 'real' sushi, I also enjoy a bit of junk which pretends to be healthy; their sweet and sour chicken contains enough sugar for your head to fall off, and whilst their noodles might be warming and hearty, they also strike a notch or two thousand on your calorie allowance. That being said, you can enjoy some genuine Japanese products, such as their bubble tea, mocha (soft, sweet balls of glutinous rice of an almost gooey consistency) and an array of nigiri. The selection is largely salmon based, with a few funky egg/tuna/shrimp combos also on offer.Generally not very Japanese, but I'd say for those who want to like sushi (but aren't quite brave enough for 'raw fish slabs', this is a good starting point). For those feeling flush but want a similar kind of thing (with less carbs), head to Itsu. For those that enjoy feeling tentacles writhing in their throats, keep walking straight to a high end sushi bar, and don't look back.
Excellent quality sushi for very reasonable price.
It was a meal on the go kinda place...where you can have sushi or curry with rice in a small seating arrangement or takeaway...the quality of food was ok...can try neither too expensive for a Japanese cuisine
Tasty affordable sushi 🍣 Sometimes unwelcoming service
As usual, yummy katsu & rice curry. Always appreciate this dish when I'm hungry and looking for a quick delicious meal ready to go!
One of my favorite Japanese places for getting a quick bite on the go.
Very busy definitely good to get there at around 12:30. For mains I had a Katsu Curry, which was pretty decent quality and reasonable value for money.
Only real option for relatively healthy fast food.
I do enjoy a bit of Wasabi every week. Most of the food is quite good. I'm a supreme fan of the onigiri, but the quantity of rice has to be reduced or the filling increased. Otherwise at the moment you just end up with a mouth full of seasoned rice with a distant hint of fish/filling. Will continue to eat here although sometimes I do feel that the food is a bit dry, which can be expected.
Good healthy food and very reasoanbily priced. This franchise can be found in many places and always one near you in central London.
This branch also provided good searing area of you prefer to eat in. The staff is very friendly bit also all food is easy to locate due to good shelving.
Reasonably priced decent quality food. I tried a nice selection of the food available and was fairly satisfied. The food isn't anything special but it is reasonable. Far from the best sushi I've had but it was decent. Would definitely return for a quick bite if I was craving sushi.
