Area 52

As my 3 year old called it “This place is Super Awesome!!” .. well at least the decor is .. this place has some great life size super heroes on display for photos with your favourite superhero.. but the food is just standard to be honest.. I've had better burgers elsewhere.. it's not bad .. I enjoyed the meal the atmosphere and the fun factor .. but I wasn't overly excited by the food.

Milkshake get a peanut butter and chocolate extra thick, and thank me later it was amazing. Thank you front guy with the beard and gun holsters. Wings are are point as a starter they are amazing. Curly fries could do with less chili sauce drowning at the bottom as no one likes soggy fries. Burgers, Construction is pretty good, cheese melts and the brioche is cut properly, much better than before. But the patty was lacking something, either like it was frozen or because it wasn't a 1/4lb'r ? It was cooked well just about medium well done so slightly red on the inside but still succulent. I think perhaps is the fineness of the mince it may have been over-grinded? To staff Work on the burgers patties, work on the not so drenching food with your sauce, maybe consider doing a sweet sauce on the chicken wings like BBQ? and perhaps not using so much sauce that it pools at the bottom of the plate for the chicken and chilli chips.

When you look past the confusion of this place being branded simultaneously as 'Superheroes' and 'Area 52', it pulls off a cool factor rarely associated with novelty restaurants. With its lifesize comic book hero models and movie memorabilia decorating the interior, it almost resembles a mini-museum, or at least an opportunity for fun selfies. The food is okay but unfortunately there are a few issues: the burgers are dry and generally overcooked and the chicken wings arrive too hot to hold. I had the wings on another occasion as takeaway just as the restaurant was about to close and they were incredibly undercooked. Other than that the curly fries are cooked to perfection and my friend's chocolate freak shake looked photo worthy.

I've enjoyed the desserts very much, but due to the terrible service I have no choose but to give them Three stars. The worker shouted through the staircase to ask us "is this what you ordered? What else did you order". He also brought our orders one at a time which was very annoying and kept us waiting for quite a while.

First and Last visit to this place!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!! I came here with my wife and 3 children and had the worst dining experience. OVER RATED MENU. my steak was served with frozen mixed veg?? No flavour in the food. Was seated on a unsteady dirty table To top it all, unbelievable customer service. After serving our food, the manager and his staff sat down to eat too. They could see we are finished but did not have the courtesy to ask if we wanted deserts or anything further. We were left to see ourselves out while they carried on eating. The only acknowledgement we got from them was a thank you for closing the door behind us when we left.

Really appalling service. Waiters were completely rubbish, kept getting wrong order given to us. Food came to us over an hour late. Burgers are like homemade burgers. Nothing special, they over loaded it with burger sauce. They also expect you to pick up the knives, forks and tissues from the front of the shop. We hated our experience there, definitely not coming back here again. You can hear the chef shouting and screaming at the waiters which is not professional in front of your customers. Will not be suggesting to friends and family too. Only good thing I can say is the decor inside is nice!!
