You cannot underestimate the joy of simple food done well in an unpretentious environment that is fairly priced. Stumbled on Rose Cafe and loved it! Food is subjective, but when you’re hankering something simple and delicious… this place should be on your list. Love!
Rose Cafe does what is says in the tin - no frills, reasonably priced, comfort food. Located between the 02 shopping centre and Finchley Road + Frognal station it is a great early morning breakfast stop with doors opening at 6.30AM. The interior is large but dim, for the exception of a table next to a large window. The menu is fairly standard to most most British cafes - breakfasts, sandwiches, salads, omelettes, jacket potatoes. The health breakfast (£6.90) - two poached eggs on one brown toast, halloumi, avocado and mushrooms - was freshly cooked with a reasonable portion size. Run by a Portuguese family, the service is warm and friendly.
