Had the steak and ale pie over mashed potatoes. Also some savory gravy surrounding the food. Loved it!

Small intimate. No windows in basement so can get claustrophobic but very nice otherwise

Great environment. Very open space. Hosts Salsa dancing lessons on Saturday nights and is well set up. Also check out some of the reading.

Great location and doesn't get too busy! Wonderful staff and one waiter kindly made a drink especially for us to suit our tastes. Perfect to sit with a few friends over a bottle of wine :)

The Bottlescrue is a fantastic venue situated in a picturesque setting, conveniently 2 minutes walk from St Paul's Tube Station. The bar is divided into multiple spaces, allowing the capacity for an immersive and cosmopolitan nightlife experience, with a separate breakout space available for hires and private parties too - daytime conferences and workshops too, I imagine. They do an excellent menu, plus a special vegan/vegetarian menu if required. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. They went out of their way to ensure that our event ran as smoothly as possible and were totally accommodating to our needs, even organising us our own private waiter on the night. Couldn't recommend this venue enough!

Good, diverse menu and well cooked food. I had the crabcakes to start followed by sirloin steak with salad - both vernice. The ambience is good and I would recommend for business lunches (which mine was)

Excellent place hidden away below street level in the city. Good for clients, friends, or after work drinks. Bar snacks are very good!
