We travelled into the area to do some star gazing at the nearby dark sky reserve for our anniversary and stopped here for some dinner. The food and service was great and the decor of the pub is charming, warm and inviting. Thank you.
Had a late launch with a friend Saturday afternoon, we were very lucky to get a table in the beer garden. Saturday afternoon it was buzzing soooooo busy, there were a few Birthday gatherings but so nice to have lots of space outside. Staff as busy as they were rushed off their feet were absolutely brilliant, when taking our orders they kept to their words & delivered good food & drink. Very friendly hard working staff still managed to be very polite & smile 10/10 ! Highly recommended if your in the area !
Lovely large beer garden which is good for the summer as we always seem to be able to get a table. Even when the pub is busy the service at the bar is always quick, a big bonus.
Tried the roast several times now and enjoyed it every time, only negative - could be a bit bigger, fine for me but some of my friends were left hungry.
Great place, great food really like the garden.
Yum!. Lovely pub with reasonably priced, well cooked food. The Sunday Roasts are a firm favourite of mine (although sometimes the gravy is too thin!) and the summer BBQ is some of the best food in the area.

❤️ An historic big old N16 boozer.
.
The White Hart is situated amongst a mix of cafes, bars and independent shops on bustling Stoke Newington High Street. The nearest station is Rectory Road Overground which is a five minute walk away.
.
There has been a pub on this site since the mid 17th century. The current building was built by Charringtons in the 1851, check out those beautiful glazed Victorian tiles.
.
This is big old high ceilinged boozer, it has a large main bar plus a snug complete with working fireplace. At the centre of everything is a cheery horseshoe shaped servery. At the rear of the pub is a good size beer garden which is a popular spot with the N16 locals. The decor here is a rustic affair, there is an eclectic assortment of tables and chairs, 70’s print wallpaper plus exposed brickwork. There are a few screens dotted about which show live sport and a nice addition is the pinball machine of which I am a fan.
.
The beer line up was pretty good and had a bit of something for everyone. I’d been on the Amstel all day so I stuck with that, my pint was decent and reasonably priced at just over a fiver. There is a simple pub grub menu available, Fish & Chips costs £14. On Sundays you can get a roast here, a Chicken roast costs £17.
.
We arrived just after 3pm as we continued our St Patrick’s Day crawl around Stoke Newington. The pub was quiet, maybe this was due to the lack of diddly diddly going on as in other close by boozers. We were served by a lively fella who I presume was the Guv’nor, nice fella, very chatty. This pub has quiz nights on a Wednesday, shows live sport and there is an upstairs room for hire to arrange a celebration.
.
This pub receives mixed reviews, from what I have read these vary from the grass is too long in the garden to someone was whistling on a Tuesday, Hipsters eh. I really enjoyed the_whitehart_official , it had a proper London pub feel plus it was great to see a big pub trading, most big pubs across the capital have been converted as they couldn’t be filled with punters. Definitely worth a look in this one.

Massive shoutout to the team at The White Hart! We had our daughters 1st bday party in their private room and were so happy with the care and service we got from Charlie and his team. Everyone was super helpful and attentive. Highly recommended.
How this place is only rated 4.0 is perplexing. Lovely staff, really helpful and friendly. Excellent Sunday roast/lunch, open fire, dart board…really good value and a good place to depend a Sunday arvo. Would definitely come again.
Lovely pub with lovely staff. Lots of tables inside and out. Really like their beer garden.
They had my favourite non-alcoholic Italian drink called Crodino. As a teetotal person, it was great to see such a selection on the menu and reminded me of holidays in Italy.
One of my favourite pubs in Hackney, it's a classic & beautiful Georgian-style pub. Inside the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I love the traditional decor and the cosy feel of the place. Even though it was busy, I managed to find a spot at the bar and was served quickly by the friendly staff.
The thing that really stands out about this place is the beer garden - it's huge, easily the biggest in the area, It's a fantastic spot to spend a sunny afternoon with friends, enjoying a few drinks and soaking up the atmosphere, they have screens outside too for when there's a game on.
Please bring back the pinball table! I used to come here more often just to play it
Nice pub. Good for an evening out. Garden doesn't seem to have been maintained very well over the years though. It was basically an ashtray out there.
Huge garden off the main drag of Stoke Newington. Wonderful in the summer sun. Inside is slightly bare, and un intimate. However good beer and staff.

A spacious public house. T.V. for sports and a dart board. At the rear of the venue is a large garden. A comfortable and friendly venue.
