it's a nice and cozy place with great staff and delicious traditional food. It was a bit busy, but the waiting times to be seated and served were short; the comfortable seats and cozy overall atmosphere made any wait time enjoyable.

Nice pub, off the main drag of the theatre area of London.
Busy as it was a Saturday, but service was good and friendly, helpful staff.
Could do with an extra pair of hands front of house in the restaurant.

I love this pub, such a cosy, proper pub feel. Staff are always great and I love all the traditional features. Only problem is it's so popular it's hard to find a seat! but I love this pub and will keep coming for many years to come

First visited this pub over 40 years ago and thankfully it hasn't really changed. Nice cosy fire and reasonably priced beer and food. Pleasant and accommodating staff, special mention for the barman George.

It is a really nice pub with a great atmosphere. The prices of drinks are in the normal range of London. We had a good time and met some nice folks.

To start with, amazing service and staff, the waiter was incredibly helpful and nice. The food was really good, we had the fish and chips and enjoyed every single crumble of it. I can really recommend coming here! Five starts at least!🤩

A proper old fashioned London pub, relaxed welcoming atmosphere. Real people with characters behind the bar, serving proper drinks at reasonable prices. Cosy in the winter. No blaring music. Haven't tried the food.

The bar tender downstairs was awesome and attentive. Greeted us, poured our beers, and we found a table. Dinner was just about to start at 17:00 so we went upstairs and found a seat. There were still plates, dishes, and glassware everywhere, from what I could only presume was lunch service, hours before. Lol a bit off-putting, but we stayed nonetheless. A server was nowhere to be found for 10 minutes or so. The same bartender from downstairs came upstairs, looked around, and had the same perplexed look as to why there were no servers and as to why the place seemed to look disheveled. He came over to us, gladly took our order, and was nothing but nice. Then, a server appeared and was as 'helpful' as she could be for the remainder of our dinner visit. The food, however, was very good!

They serve Samuel Smith beer, which is excellent and my favourite beer in London. Don't hesitate to try the stout! Great atmosphere in a historical pub too.
