They really accommodated us as we didn’t have reservation and were busy!! Lovely staff and fantastic food. Saved our anniversary meal as other restaurant forgot about our booking!!
Food was very good. Excellent..will go again very soon...
Bit wary after reading some reviews but have had lunch here a number of times up until a couple of years ago and thought it was quite good then so decided to give it a go. Starters were generally given the thumbs up. My vegetable tempura was very good. Fish cakes were ordinary. My daughters enjoyed their chicken satay and their chili chicken wings. My chili noodle main was excellent, my wife's pad Thai was good but not outstanding. One daughter had the Panang curry which looked very good and she enjoyed and the other had dom pla which she liked but found a little too hot. Puddings for the girls were not to my taste and the coffees for the adults were not very good but then again I would never judge a Thai restaurant on these. Service was polite and friendly but a little thin on the ground once we had reached the main courses. Definitely worth a re-visit but maybe not on a Saturday evening.
Having dined on New Year's Eve with a packed restaurant i wasn't sure what to expect as it was a spare of the moment choice to go TamnagThai.
From the moment we sat down the friendly staff cared for our every need and were really personable considering how busy they was it was refreshing to see.
Our eyes were truly bigger than our stomachs that night as we ordered spring rolls, dim sum and honey ribs (which deserve a special mention). For starters.
Virtual content on the starters our mains came and I have to say the Panang curry was 'AMAZING' from the first taste the meat melted in my mouth with rich sauce that just stopped short before it was sickly which is a hard balance to obtain.
The chef knows what he/she is doing that combined with fine service and a spacious yet nicely decorated dining area as well as a bar we were very satisfied.

Great food and good waitress but was nearly put off by guy 'welcoming' us in who looked at us like we should have been at the chip shop instead!! Who then sat us at cramped table in dark corner Middling to pricey but worth it. Food great. Shame about the Maitre d

Lunch deals are worth it. Didn't wait long. Try the green curry and the king prawn spring rolls...will come back because of value for money...
Wonderful place. The food and sauces are fantastic. The staff are polite and friendly. Great selection of wines. Only been here once but I'll be back again very soon... highly recommonded to anyone.
Visited Tamnag Thai on a Saturday evening and the atmosphere was great.
Really enjoyed the Thai platter and the spice was just right.
It was very hectic in the restaurant and the staff seemed overworked, but they keep smiling and make sure you enjoy your evening.
A good little restaurant in Crystal Palace
It's been said this is the best place to have a Thai in south London. Not sure if it's fact, but I haven't found a better one. With careful ordering it doesn't have to be that expensive either. The chicken satay sticks and jungle curry are both winners. The strength of the Thai green curry is always a good marker and they do it very well. Make sure you pop to the loo before heading to this place as you are dicing with death if you need to use theirs, especially after using a few jars; it's located up a very steep dangerous spiral staircase.
Really lovely food and friendly staff, we had a great meal. Only thing to improve on might be slightly softer lighting so it’s a more relaxed atmosphere for a cosy evening meal - the bright lights felt a little like a canteen. But it wouldn’t stop me coming back as the food was fantastic
WOW fabulous food we had yesterday when we visited Tamnag Thai for lunch. The waitress told us this was the first time the restaurant is open for lunch so it was quiet. But excellent food at a very reasonable price. Thank you. Therese
Traditional affordable Thai food served quickly!
Ordered from a set lunch menu: vegetable spring rolls (starter) Pai Thai with King prawn (main) lemongrass tea (drink) all for £15. All tasted great and fresh. The only issue was the prawns still had the rails which gave me an additional task while eating.
The staff were friendly and made sure everything came out on time. I would recommend if you are in the area or ordering in.
Food was stunning and service was fast, accurate, and polite.
Found the staff to be very friendly and attentive. Nice decor and atmosphere. The portions were quite big - the food wasn't bad at all, but nothing special, maybe a bit salty for me. We had the pad thai and the crispy chili duck - which wasn't as spicy as the menu suggested.
Extremely tasty Food, attentive staff and very well presented.
We made an order for delivery last weekend and the food tasted amazing. We had to visit in person to get the full experience and it was well worth it. Would say it was well worth the price too.
P.s. dont forget to try the beers 😉
Delicious, mouth-watering Thai cuisine in a vibrant restaurant. Friendly waiting staff and tranquil ambience. Good menu containing all your Thai favourites and more. Will definitely visit again.
I have been here twice, both times with my dad who does not mince his words, and both times the food has been really good and he especially wanted to come back. Maybe I expected less because of the lower rating but so far between us we have had the Dim Sum, Crispy Duck, Green Curry, Jungle Curry and all were really nice. I'd give it 4 stars overall, as decor is pretty bare and service wasn't overly fast (although our waitress was friendly). I put down 5 stars because I feel like the bad reviews seem harsh. This is so far one of the standout restaurants I've been to in CP food wise (I am still pretty new to the area though)
Best Thai restaurant in the area in my opinion! Travelled around Thailand a few times and the food here is authentic, tasty and good value. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommended!
Food is always lovely here, especially the Massaman dish (that's my favourite - I love the rich flavour). Only thing is service can sometimes be a little slow.
