Had the 6 course taster menu which comes with a glass of wine. Food was amazing, the Salmon was perfect and the wine was good too. The Staff were so attentive and polite. Great place, I will be returning

I first heard about this hidden gem from Secret London on facebook the other week. I thought I gave it a go before meeting up a friend who was hosting an art exhibition at the Oxo gallery.
Like the previous comment, you go through a graffetti tunnel in Leake Street off Waterloo Station; pretty easy to get to.
I walked in a comtemporary streetwise dark setting with neon lights and photos; the bar at one end and seating area on the ground floor and upper floor. There wasn't many people there as I beat the lunch rush!!
I had the lunch combo of the "OG" pork bun with sticky wings and a side portion of pork & prawn spring roll. The food was good but maybe the wings could give a little less seasoning as it was quite salty For lunch, that would had been enough for one person. All that with a lychee soda came just over £20. The staff were polite and attentive even though it wasn't that busy when I went. I see this place as a quick bite, quirky or a Friday night drinks & finger food with friends. The question is would I go back? I actually would with a few friends as a stop-over before heading towards the theatre or just catching up with a few drinks.

Waterloo is currently undergoing an overhaul and the graffiti-covered Leake Street tunnels will be a vibrant part of the new redevelopment. Once complete the tunnels will contain a range of independent restaurants and bars. The first new opening sets the bar high, as Banh Bao Brothers whisks you off to Vietnam with it’s modern take on traditional food in an eclectic setting.

Really quirky location, ample room around 7pm on a Friday but it did pick up massively by 8. We had a lovely waitress, I forget her name - but she was really attentive and had great recommendations. We had pretty much the whole menu, it was all absolutely stunning with real authentic taste. The mixologist was also happy to make us cocktails that weren't on the menu, always a positive! The Prawn crackers are something to write home about, to be honest it all is. The wings, the rice, the buns, the popcorn chicken - so tasty. I highly recommend this place, its located in a really cool tunnel covered in graffiti, with other bars and clubs there too. Really cool and glad we found it!

Ambiance was upbeat and fun. The location was cool and unique. Food was really good. Baos were hot and fresh. The papaya salad was perfectly spicy. Definitely recommend. I came by on my first night in town. I did feel a bit neglected as a customer because I was there alone vs the attention other tables received. I was fine with this but just an FYI.

Great vibes and good food. Went for late lunch on a Sunday - place was quiet, food and customer service great but no cocktails available (dinner service only). Have been for cocktails before and it’s a great place for a drink and small plate. We had 6 plates between 2 people and were completely stuffed. Loved the chicken dishes in particular (karaage style chicken and the buffalo wings). I think they rotate the menu as last time I ordered different dishes, all good and very tasty though! Would recommend for an interesting venue/night out.

We thoroughly enjoyed eating at Banh Bao Brothers! The food was very tasty, the stuff very polite and helpful, and the interior design and bao animations were very enjoyable! The menu had a wide variety of options and every dish that we ordered was delicious. The alley where it is located is a bit sketchy, but the quality of the meal and service is worth it. Definitely recommended!

Quirky, fun and different, this place has a really fun vibe, with neon lighting and based in the graffiti tunnel makes it quite a trendy feeling place to go. Perfect for light bites and drinks. The food here is delicious. Despite the name of the place it’s not the Bao buns that shine on this menu! The mango salad and popcorn chicken are amazing. I have read previous reviews about this place being expensive but I think it is fairly priced, for the location and atmosphere it is worth it. There aren’t many, if any restaurants in this area that have the same sort of fun feel to it. I have also seen complaints about the smell of paint. I meannnn it is by the graffiti mile… and the smell isn’t something constant. I went with a big group of 8 and it didn’t bother any of us. If you are in this area it is worth a visit. I would highly recommend!

Excellent food, excellent service, Kin one of the staff working there was particularly pleasant. The place is indeed located inside of graffiti tunnel and this leaves it with a dark mysterious interior which has been decked out with pink trees and has a pleasant rather punkish aesthetic. We had the pork, lamb, mushroom and beef bao and all were cooked beautifully. I especially reccomend the lamb one which was melt in your mouth gorgeous and had good complementing sauce. The aubergine curry was very Thai style which I loved, I do think it could have had something with a bit of crunch added however to make the texture more interesting. The popcorn chicken was like the other food delicious and I was pleasantly surprised at the fact it wasn't greasy like other popcorn chicken I have had in the past. The non alcohol options for drinks were limited to some extent and I would say nothing overly special to them. I personally would stick to water. Overall I would highly reccomend the place as a meet up for friends, colleagues or for a date. The atmosphere I recon would be a little out of place for a family going out to dinner.

Wondering around London we passed this intriguing restaurant. Hidden in a tunnel with a mystical entrance we decided to try. We choose 6 dished from the menu which is enough for 2. All super tasty. The cocktail menu also had a great variation which made dining here a great experience. Thank you!

A bit of the beaten track but so glad we found it. The food is full of flavour, tasty and left your tastebuds very happy. Highly recommend the mango salad and baos. Will definitely go back next time I'm in the area.

We ate here as part of the eat out to help out scheme on a Tuesday evening. The setting is really cool, the blossom trees and graffiti make for some great pictures. There was a good buzz and we really liked the k pop tunes. The servers couldn't have been more attentive - ensuring that we had enough drinks and food throughout the evening, they were all really friendly. All the food was really delicious - especially the bao which were light and fluffy. Nice to see plenty of vegetarian options on the menu! With cv-19 in mind every table was appropriately spaced and everything was very clean, with temperature scanning on the door and plenty of hand sanitiser on offer. The staff were very diligent in limiting contact points and maintaining social distancing during ordering/serving food and drink - they all wore masks. It's in a great location for a dinner after drinks on the Southbank, or quick bite before hopping on a train at Waterloo.
