I live near Brick Lane which has a plethora of kebab shops, none of which comes close to the quality of Ali’s. Ordered the mixed meat kebab & chips and, while the picture doesn’t do it justice, suffice to say that this was polished off in full by two of us (mostly me)! The chicken donner meat was beautifully cooked - moist and flavoursome without too much fat. Very pleased to find red cabbage salad which so many other places no longer do. 4 stars not 5 since the chilli sauce, while very tasty, was completely lacking in heat and our first serving of chips was only luke warm but they replaced this with a hot (but smaller) serving when asked. Service was also a bit surly. Small counter with a few (4) stools if you want to eat in. Would definitely repeat the experience but I'd bring chilli sauce/chilli flakes as the heat was really lacking.
