Nusa Kitchen, which has three shops in London, was established in 2004 by Patou Sekhon and her son Mark. The inspiration was one of Patou's childhood memories of growing up in Singapore - the delicious soup served at her school tuck shop. My memories of the school tuck shop are cheap crisps and sweets, we certainly didn't have home made soup! Nusa Kitchen originally served Asian inspired soups but has since expanded the menu to include salads, coconut rice boxes, breakfast and desserts. There is also a great choice of vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and dairy free options on the menu.

Great lunch time menu - soups are amazing, just watch out for the queue during peak times or you could be waiting forever! Soups are very filling also.

I'm usually all about eating large portions of meat and this place seems to advertise healthy salads and similar a lot so I put off going here for a long time, finally decided to give them a try and wow! Excellent malayan beef rendang...this place is way better than I expected...even the dressing on the salad is amazing! The staff is also polite and helpful. Will visit again. Didn't like the sauce in the container but the meat was juicy so not a big deal.

The food is delicious. Mega impressed with my chiang mai spicy chicken soup. Super friendly guy serving. Free samples to help you choose. We’ll be back!

Really delicious food. Especially nice on a cold day. With the changes in menu, it means you can expect different options on different weeks / days, although there is a pattern that allows you to select your favourite tastes. Service is good and fast but can be confusing when there are long lines as the place is small.

I happened to pass by this place in a hurry for lunch, and it’s definitely what I was looking for. Healthy, fast, cheap and tasty food. If you are in the need of a quick bite, this is definitely the place if you are around :)

Every time I don't manage to bring lunch in from home, I go to Nusa. No matter the weather and no matter if I've already had it that week. They have around 10 soups at a time which change weekly. All of them warming (most spicy), delicious and filling. Good veggie and vegan choices. The rice boxes are also great.

I came here for lunch with 5 friends around 13:15, and as expected, the queue was quite long, but it moved very fast. The serving system works very efficiently in here. They have an excellent choice of soups and rice dishes here. Good vegetarian and gluten free options as well. My Vietnamese Chicken & Sweet Potato soup was very tasty and falvoursome. Unfortunately there isn't much seating space inside (only 2 tables and 12 seats in total). We managed to grab one of those tables after waiting for about 15 minutes, but it felt too stuffy and a bit uncomfortable to eat inside. Next time we’ll just take away and go to eat in the park nearby, if the weather permits :)

I often visit Nusa Kitchen for lunch as I work around the corner. They have a good selection of soups which come with either rice or bread at no extra cost. Spicy Lentil is particularly good. Price is ok, ranging from about £3.95 to £4.50 plus 50p extra for toppings. Friendly staff, long queues but moves relatively quickly!

Nusa is one of my favourite lunch places. The soup, which comes in very regular-looking cardboard Eat or Pret-style pot, is delicious. They do a range of interesting flavours, which makes it incredibly hard to choose which to eat. There's only a little space inside and the queue coming out of the door should give an indication of how ridiculously good a place this is. We've also had a little chat to the Mother-Son team that run this place, and they were charming, too.
