I was directed to this coffee show by the US embassy across the street as they store luggage for people who need to use the building (they don’t allow laptops or luggage inside the US embassy). I was in a hurry and the staff were very quick to help out. They were having a team day and were closing early and I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to complete my task at the embassy in time, but despite them closing early they offered to help and stay late so I could come back and collect my luggage. The whole team were so polite and helpful. I managed to get back just after closing and they were tidying up. The manager or owner Chelsea was a superstar and so kind and helpful. Sadly I didn’t have time to sample the coffee etc but without doubt a well run and organized establishment. Thanks again to the staff who helped me in my time of need.

Let me tell you about the amazing service I received from Leen. Hand downs the sweetest worker there, she made sure that my matcha was sweet enough to my liking and recommended me the banana bread which was astonishing. The atmosphere was really nice and the food was delicious. So overall great experience thanks to Leen.

Service was great. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Our order was incorrect but they rectified immediately without a fuss. Food was OK, simple and filling. Had Scrambled eggs, mushrooms and halloumi. The halloumi was a bit thick but otherwise overall good breakfast/brunch place.

Haven’t been to the place - started to check while looking for a laptop storage near the US Embassy. Appalled by seeing so many critical reviews and low rating just because people didn’t like the price for the service. Rooting for the owners and the team who kindly offer such service which is totally not what the cafe should offer! I truly hope that there are much more grateful people who were saved by finding this option to keep their stuff there when the found they didn’t properly check the rules for the Embassy visit. Nicely done, District cafe - the only fact you provide this service shows a great example of seizing the opportunity and serving customers. After all, it is a cafe in a pretty expensive area of London and the service is for those applying for US visa,so the price looks justified to me. Will check in café tomorrow and update on a coffee 😊

Solid option for brunch food! Their truffle egg croissant was so good. The oat flat white was decent as well. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Seating is limited, but if you get lucky the wait isn’t too long. They also play good music!

I saw a lot of reviews before my Embassy visit complaining that it was £10 for 30 minutes of storage. It’s a flat rate all day, an incredible deal if you aren’t lucky enough to get in and out quickly (which I’m sure is most people). An awesome service, friendly staff and you get a free coffee with storage. Can’t beat it. Came back for brunch after appointment and the corn fritters and date slice were delicious!

Super friendly and accommodating, plus my drinks (matcha latte, espresso and hot chocolate) were well-made. Pretty quick even with a dependable stream of embassy guests looking to store their luggage.

Really good coffee and food is really nice, but food is slightly pricier than expected but I'd still pay for it but the coffee is really worth it. Quite a hip coffee shop with the aesthetic and staff. Unfortunately when busy the tables can be left unwiped but overall it is a pleasant experience. Staff are okay, can seem flustered when busy. Try to get the advacado salad and add on the extras as the extras are much cheaper. French toast is very yummy and very fluffy Greek yoghurt would recommend.
