I really wanted to love this place!! It had great jazz music on a weekday evening, a back outdoor area that was quiet even on a 26deg day, & pretty good Iberia tacos + loaded fries! My only gripe at this local is the bartender (I think his name is Fabian [?]): My friend had a lemon slice in her drink that was totally molded/rotten. She went back to return the drink & he was pretty non-chalant about it, with a very slight barely sorry only after he made a new drink & gave it to her. It also wasn't busy at all (4-5 tables with a couple people in the whole establishment, including the outdoors - strange for a beautiful day & a pub with an outdoor seating area), & his service was slower & worse than the food (we got our tacos pretty quick, & they were really friendly!). I'll chalk it up to him having a bad day, & may give this another shot down the line.

Has a nice back garden area which is quaint. Still doing table service and the staff were very friendly and attentive didn’t have to flag anyone down for service. Has a sort of pop up kitchen vibe menu and the food was okay. We mostly where a drinking party so only tried a few sides/snacks.

Best beers on tap in the area with (by far!) the most entertaining landlord behind the bar. Great vibe, great tunes, full of light and always a good time. I used to live just down the road from this pub - everyone should be so lucky to have such an amazing local!

Love this new find on Essex Road. Great choice of beers, awesome music and the staff were lovely! Just message in advance as the timings changed on Saturdays so we were too early ahead of the pub opening. Very cool spot and could spend a long time in this pub!

Hip little spot. Reminds me of Dalston pre-covid on a Tuesday night.. retro/bohemian up-cycled decor, chill staff, bespoke brews and £5+ a pint. Nice vibes.

Friendly and relaxed neighbourhood pub/bar with an ever-changing tap list of craft beers, organic wines by the glass, classy cocktails, and tasty, reasonably-priced food from the kitchen.

GREAT changing selection of beers which once included Titanic Stout, perfect for a rainy day, or a refreshing White IPA for the good weather. Lovely little patio/ beer garden in the back. Relaxed atmosphere with always very tasteful chilled yet groovy tunes. Tried the food for the first time yesterday and it didn't disappoint. Far better than the usual pub grub. This place is a winner.

Have been refurbished a few months ago and totally worth a look. Really nice tropical settings with plants and nice details. Interesting snacks as well such as the grapefruit with salt and chili.

I like this pub. It doesn't feel like any other pub in the area and has a great beach / holiday atmosphere. The selection of beers are fantastic pulling breweries from across the board. There is definitely going to be something here for everyone. I can't comment on the food but there does seem to a be a well stocked kitchrn. The reason why it loses a star is because of the price of the beers, but with great choice comes great price.
