Easily one of the best markets in London. Super colourful with an incredible variety of exotic fruit and veggies, fresh meat, fish, loads of independent gift stores and food options as well. Everyone was kind and helpful when choosing what to buy or try. We bought lots of Caribbean fresh fruit and enjoyed Ethiopian food. Oh, and found some really wonderful beauty + skin products with natural ingredients only. Would recommend for a nice day out!

Went to Brixton Mkt just to browse around. Surprised to see so many things and especially the handcrafted items. Some were fun, some were weird and some were interesting. You can easily spend a couple of hours, browsing, eat well and relax.

Brixton Village Market is a vibrant and diverse culinary destination located in the heart of London. Spanning across a series of covered arcades, this bustling market offers an eclectic mix of international flavors, unique shops, and a lively atmosphere that truly captures the spirit of Brixton. One of the standout features of Brixton Village Market is its incredible variety of food options. From Thai and Indian cuisine to Mexican and Caribbean flavors, there is something to satisfy every palate. The market is a melting pot of cultures, and you can explore a world of tastes without ever leaving the neighborhood. The quality of the food is generally high, and the prices are reasonable, making it an excellent choice for both residents and tourists. The atmosphere at Brixton Village Market is electric. As you stroll through the narrow walkways, you'll be captivated by the vibrant colors, the aroma of different spices, and the sounds of music and laughter. The market is always buzzing with activity, and it's a great place to people-watch and soak up the lively energy of the area. The mix of locals, tourists, and food enthusiasts creates a fantastic sense of community and adds to the overall charm of the market. In addition to the food stalls, Brixton Village Market is also home to a variety of unique shops and boutiques. You can find everything from vintage clothing and handmade crafts to independent bookstores and specialty shops. Exploring these hidden gems is a delightful experience, and you never know what treasures you might stumble upon. The market truly celebrates individuality and creativity, making it a haven for those seeking something a little different. The market is also known for its strong sense of community. Many of the vendors are local residents who are passionate about their craft and take pride in sharing their culture and heritage. They are often more than happy to engage in friendly conversations and share stories about their products. This personal touch adds an extra layer of authenticity to the market experience and makes it feel like a welcoming and inclusive space. One thing to keep in mind when visiting Brixton Village Market is that it can get quite crowded, especially during peak times. The narrow walkways and limited seating options can make it challenging to find a place to sit and enjoy your meal. However, the vibrant atmosphere and the incredible food are well worth navigating the crowds. In conclusion, Brixton Village Market is a must-visit destination in London for food lovers and those looking for a unique shopping experience. Its diverse range of culinary delights, lively atmosphere, and sense of community make it a true gem in the heart of Brixton. Good little spot for drinks and lunch/dinner. We stopped at Kraft on our most recent visit for a few drinks. The cocktails were pretty good and they had a solid beer collection which they seem to rotate. On the few occasions I’ve visited, a lot has been shut so certain areas can feel a little dead but a great place nonetheless.
