Visited in the afternoon on a Saturday in November. The selection in here is quite good, with a nice mix of staples and more ‘artisanal’ products. Big range of cheese. Meat counter. Nice selection of beers, with a small emphasis on London breweries. Friendly staff. Prices seemed pretty decent overall. It was a productive shop I had here and I would certainly return next time I am in the area.

While it is not my favourite grocery shop in the area, there are few things I really value about Budgens. You can find some delicacies that are not available in other stores (Italian and Spanish mostly), they store a lot of Biona Canned organic food and they have a great choice of wine and beers.
Convenient store on the Highbury side of Upper Street. The post office inside is quite useful. Good selection of food and drinks.
Nicely stocked place. I was amazed with the variety of cheese. Felt like at home, haha. Prices were average compared to stores in the area. Very welcoming people working there. Had a nice conversation with the cashier. Nice lady.
Got a nice selection of ready to eat meals like sushi.

Only supermarket I've seen that has five different types of truffle cheese apart Whole Foods Market.
Pleasently surprised by this place - has a great selection of local products. Even sold swordfish there which i was not expecting - salad boxes not too bad either you get a lot of food for 4 quid. Prob 3 stars for salad bar
Great little store on Upper street. Has the cold food range which is great if you want lunch or to pick up something for dinner later. Has the usual items for a mid week too up shop aswell, friendly staff who make the shopping trip all the better.
Great presentation from the outside with the touch of nature(plant's section) and also inside the store with variation of collections such as Sushi, House of dishes and Forequarters. Their fresh produce section is amazing. Glad to see the collection of Beer and wines from cheap to expensive price range. Even for spirits and champagne they have various types which is perfect for a gift. Don't want to say anything about grocery because it's massive. In one sentence you can have everything in this store with lovely and friendly customer service.
Good local style supermarket. A bit dull in lighting and often shelves being stacked at busy times which makes shopping difficult.

It covers most of all daily essentials. Great for hot food on the go. Sundays open till 7pm it's a bonus.

They're one of the few supermarkets that carry the brand "Cook" frozen food, they sell venison and other unusual meat options. One of the best Budgens.
