Jeroboams

This is one of the three wine shops I frequent most often in London, and being on the delightful Elizabeth Street it usually makes for a very pleasant shopping experience. Whilst their standard prices may seem slightly on the high side - this is Belgravia after all - they often have special offers which can be a surprisingly good deal. Most often go here for crates of Champagne, there's usually something decent on offer here at £30 a bottle (e.g. Veuve Clicquot). Have also been here for items a little more recherché - I just walked in on the off chance I'd find Château Peyraguey here, and pleasingly it was a successful endeavour (although I think I actually ended up in the nearby Pont Street branch for that). More recently a rather nice Gevrey Chambertin from Alain Burguet. In both those instances, when I wasn't just buying a crate of Champagne (which doesn't usually require any consultation), the staff gave the distinct impression they really knew what they were talking about.
