This is a must go! I’ve been to different steak places in London but honestly Well Hung does it right! Have I mentioned that they just opened 6 weeks ago!? Could not recommend more, I’m gonna talk about this place to my friends and family. We went for bottomless brunch, they offer £45 pp mixed cocktails, Prosecco and set menu. Don’t be fooled by busy place opposite, if you want cheap processo and pizza then yes, go there. But if you want quality cocktails, excellent service and delicious, tender steak, WELL HUNG is your place! Tri tip steak and onglet steak were our choices and omg! Meat literally melt in your mouth, make sure you order courgette flowers, this thing is unreal! I have never tasted better courgette in my life. Damian and LJ looked after us with a care and patience, this definitely does into our “must visit” spots!

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious and satisfying brunch at 28 Well Hung today. Steak, eggs, garlic mushrooms for me and a full-on fry up for him. Great coffees and high cacao hot choc! So very pleased, because I sought out this restaurant for its pasture-fed meat and commitment to regenerative farming. Great menu across the spectrum to vegan. Glad to hear they're doing well and opening a 2nd restaurant 😀 Up with this sort of thing!
I can't date this place highly enough. We went early with 2 7 year olds in tow and the entire experience was outstanding. From the cheerful helpfulness of the lady who took our call when we booked, to the chefs who chatted to the children on the pass, everyone was incredibly welcoming, friendly and brilliant with the children. Oh and the food was so good we had to stop ourselves from licking the plates. Superb flavours, beautiful meat, enticing veggie dishes and puddings that kept everyone quiet. Can't wait To go back. Thank you
Holy sh*t this place is good! What a find. Our group of 5 ordered almost everything on the menu and it was worth every penny, often going back for second helpings. Every dish was sensational, fresh and sometimes quite novel.
On top of it all, great vibes and Dan's team looked after us so well for my birthday.
10/10 hidden gem. We'll be back!
Was a great experience! The staff were absolutely brilliant, smiles on their faces and really looked after me. Nice restaurant to grab some good food. Hope to visit again at some point.
*Edit* always great to come back and grab a bite to eat. The steak burger is always a go to. Service is great as usual!
I'd booked myself in for a 11:30 Sunday brunch, as my social media feed had strongly steered me towards this temple to steak in Nunhead.
I was greeted by the wonderful serving staff who served me with a couple of Mescal Bloody Mary's: really good!!!
After an informative discussion on the menu and their stock of bio wines I let myself be guided by staff choice and I wasn't let down. From a selection of diverse and delicious reds to wash down not only some superb, aged steaks, but also a dish of fast marinaded mushrooms, which were a meaty feast in their own right. Good beer, a Calvados to round off the meal and I was already planning my next visit.
If you enjoy steak, interesting and enjoyable wines, and loads of other offerings that make up an excellent meal, this is the place for you...
I went here with a group of friends in the opening week. The service was friendly and attentive and the food INCREDIBLE. The tri-tip steak was cooked to perfection, we also thought the cauliflower and the aubergine were delicious, all made with love and presented beautifully on small plates, ideal for sharing and passing around the table.
Finally definitely worth ordering the burger, it comes in a flatbread so not too filling, it was the best I’ve had since I can remember!
Our waiter was very knowledgeable about wines and we tried some deliciously crisp natural whites on his advice. Finished off perfectly with a chihuahua cocktail - apparently a house favourite (like a twist on my usual favourite margarita) SO delicious!
100% will be back!
28 Well Hung serves delicious small dishes at a fantastic price. The tri-tip steak that we had was probably our top 3 favourite steaks of all time. Service was great, staff was attentive. A fantastic dining experience with delicious food. Hands down, must try.

came here on a quiet friday for lunch right when they opened at 12. the service was incredibly kind about us bringing a pram in the restaurant and they were even entertaining our daughter for a bit, which is so nice to know that your service is accepted when you have that extra baggage!
as for the food, we got 2 types of steak, the bone marrow toast and the burger. it was more than enough for 2 people. i was expecting more flavor and texture from the bone marrow (it was almost just like oil on the bread) but everything else was absolutely lovely!
