We were looking for a falafel wrap somewhere along the Maida Vale end of Edgware Road and found this place. It was very cold outside so we wanted to sit indoors and eat rather than takeaway and walk. We chose this restaurant because it looked warm and there were already a few people eating at tables inside. We checked the menu and were almost put off by the limited range of vegetarian options but they had falafel sandwich with Iraqi bread on the menu and this is what we were after. We had zero expectations for this meal. Everything was very cheap so it could go any way. We ordered falafel sandwich with all the options, the mezze platter (can't remember what this was called) that came with aubergine dip (my fav), cecik, hummus and 2 very large flat breads that were freshly baked right there. This came with a yellow lentil salty soup (not my fav). And we also ordered 2 black teas (very nice with a little sugar). The falafel was crispy and soft on the inside, there was a generous amount of crunchy pickles inside the sandwich, and the bread looked freshly made as well, all presented beautifully. This was a surprisingly delicious meal delivered in a gentle setting with friendly service. Very reasonable prices. We will definitely come back.

Good restaurant, service is good, cleanliness level is poor, prices are reasonable, I ordered shish tawook with rice and brought free hospitality which consisted of green salad, hummus, garlic, cucumber yogurt and free bread. This is my experience in this small family restaurant..

Really authentic, delicious food. The hot coals make a real difference to the flavour (I ordered the lamb kofte) and the seasonings are really good. Fairly priced, and you get free tahini, hummus and tzatziki

Loved the place, the ambience and the authentic iraqi food. Complimentary soup, hummus and pita. We ordered the lamb shank and Lamb shish. The shish was on the tougher side hence the 4 star rating but the service more than made up for it. Our lovely server was super attentive. Will definitely visit again.

We tried this place because of the 4.7 star reviews on Google reviews and it more than lived up to its rating. The food was incredible!! Seriously the best food I've had on Edgware Road. The mix grill was exquisite and grilled to perfection. The mixed shawarma wrap was served in the bread they make at the restaurant and was fantastic. Excellent service from the young lady waiter. The bill was very reasonable for the quality of food served. Please give this place a go if you're on Edgware Road!

Really nice and friendly restaurant. A little pearl in the area. The bread is delicious (just look at the photo!). The lentils soup is really good. The cheak peas soup is just fantastic. Hummus and babaganouch are really good. They basically brought all the above as soon as you arrive so you can take your time to order. We had the grilled mix (on the photo) as well as some falafaels and kubas. All was great, good, freshly made and price was reasonable. The staff is really friendly. Highly recommended.

Came to eat and was wowed their customer service which is exceptional. An amazing atmosphere and even tastier Mediterranean food. Ordered a Kofta sandwich and two pastries received a fantastic meal with the total coming to around £11. Highly recommended!
