I like game. So when a friend mentioned Nest’s new location close to my flat, I had to check it out. And Nest didn’t disappoint. The meal started with milk bread and game bird liver parfait, followed by trout rillete and fried partridge. Everything was good, with the trout being absolutely delicious. I tried two types of bread as well, and they almost stole the show from the meat/fish. Very friendly service and cool interiors too.
I’ll back to try their new seasons.
OMG - phenomenal. Alex was so fab! We did the wine pairing - highly recommend. We came for the “game season” menu and it didn’t disappoint. And, my god, the soda bread is incredible. Amazing dinner. Fantastic London restaurant.
I couldn’t leave this review quick enough. My meal at Nest was the single most enjoyable time I’ve ever had in a restaurant and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. I emailed on the off chance that I’d find a seat as a solo diner and was sat at the counter in front of the kitchen. Rather than making me feel awkward or perhaps in the way, the chefs went above and beyond to greet me and engage with sincerity and kindness. Nest really captures something that a lot of restaurants try to which is a sense of ease and calm in the midst of a fast paced and chaotic environment. You can tell that the team cares about what they do. It’s obvious they’re all on the same page. From the way they move to the way they plate. That said I haven’t even mentioned the food. It was all as mesmerizingly beautiful as it was truly delicious. The menu was focused on game and the dishes served were put together and presented in ways I’ve never even imagined possible. Nothing was boring, nothing was held back, it was all perfect. I couldn’t imagine better food if I tried. It was comfortable, thoughtful, and felt special. I’m glad I was able to be a part of an evening at Near. I’ll remember my meal there forever.
