What a hidden gem in a backstreet just off of Finchley Road… the second you walk into the restaurant you are hit with a traditional, warm Italian ambience that accompanies the delicious smell of the food. The owners own wine was beyond anything I’ve tasted and the food was cooked to perfection and served relatively quickly. The staff were so warm and welcoming and the dessert was to die for!!! All in all a great restaurant.
Food and service always freshly made and always on point. The quality of ingredients shines though. A short trip on the overground from Hackney to this family run hidden gem never fails to delight . I’m sure it will become a favorite once visited. Also discovered the wine is from their own vineyard and it’s definitely worth taking a few bottles home. Thoroughly recommended.
It was such an amazing experience. The owner of the restaurant was there at the time we had a dinner. It was such a unique experience, amazing food, amazing wine and we didnt even notice how quickly time passed. We felt we found a hidden gem somewhere in Italy, cant believe this amazing place exist in side of the London.
My favourite Italian restaurant in North-West London! Great ambience and delicious food and wine. Proper osteria. Paolo is a star ✨
Best wine and dinner in North London ..a hidden gem!!!
I went there last week for my birthday. I found that place randomly as the place I wanted to go to wasn't serving anymore. Well, it was the best thing that could've had happened. What an amazing discovery in the area! Me and my flatmate were served by Paolo, the owner, and he's been so kind and nice, offering us the best experience! We got to try his sparkling wine that he makes himself (very good) and he surprised me with a tiramisu singing "Happy Birthday"!
The restaurant is not cheap, but I can tell you it's worth it. It truly feels like Italy, good products and very nice atmosphere.
I will definitely come back. Thank you again Paolo for making my day!
Real neighbourhood gem for a romantic couples night! We went last Friday night at around 8pm for dinner. The food was fantastic - rustic and flavourful and prepared with care and allowing the ingredients to speak for themselves. This is because there is only one cook and a smallish kitchen. The flip side is that the food did take quite a long time to come out. Still, the large plate of antipasti at the beginning helped to smooth us over for the mains and besides, we didn’t feel the need to rush out of there. It was very charming and the service was warm!
As it was my mother's birthday and as she was going away the following day, we wanted to go to a local restaurant.
We saw reviews for this restaurant and they were all glowing as will this one be.
You are greeted warmly by Paulo and team. There are no menus so to speak. You start with a platter of Antipasto which was delicious. Then you are told the main concern options which consisted of pasta, meat and fish. It was all very scrummy.
Definitely with a visit, you won't be be disappointed.
Best Italian restaurant in london.
A beautiful evening it feels like at home :).
Grazie
One of the most soul filling meals ever!
The owner loves to feed people and you’ll leave with a happy tummy and a smile on your face :)
The wine is made in house and the food tastes heavenly.
Totally loved it!
