It's rare that I leave a review but this was my first foray into gay bars, as a relatively newly out trans dude who doesn't tend to pass yet I had been interested because of reviews about it being intimate. I also don't drink so have often felt awkward in bars but here I felt relaxed more so than i'd felt at any pub or small live music venue. The staff were polite and helpful, didn't feel like everyone was staring at me, there were others in there alone and no one was too loud & intimidating (though I was there early evening). Also cheap soda for central London - have paid more in smaller cities so good for budget too. Would definitely consider popping in again if I had a couple hours to kill in London, that 4-6 slot can be hard to fill if you don't drink!
Ku Bar has got to be one of the best gay bars in London. Great music, even better crowd and fabulous, welcoming bar staff! Special thanks to Stefano Dimoulas for being the the hostess with the mostest!! See you all again soon I’m sure ��
Attentive, clean and great vibe. 2 pints of Prahva lager is ~£12. Stopped by for a drink whilst in town for the day. Sitting outside was great for people watching as the bar is along one of the busier foot traffic areas in Chinatown. They've just done a bit of a refurb on the inside which has freshened it up a bit too.
I went here with my boyfriend and it was lovely. The bartenders were friendly, the door staff were lovely and the drinks were great. We also caught a drag show and it was amazing, Vicki Vivacious is absolutely hilarious and made my night. My singular only complaint would be the ambient music, it was a lot of really annoying pop stuff from the early 2010s and it felt really standard bar music, I was hoping that a gay bar would have more class when it comes to music but hey ho. Other than that, it was lovely. They are very accepting of all people, there's no discrimination based on gender identity, sexuality, race, disability etc. at least on the night I went. I would definitely go again.
Loved the two floors. Upstairs was chic & relaxed & downstairs was fun filled dancing & sweaty. Lol but in a good way. They also make a fantastic espresso martini here.
I love this place, its funky and fabulous decor adds a bit of posh glam. Bar staff very attentive, friendly and professional. Good wine beer and spirit menu.
Some seating outside for smokers and non smokers, great place to watch the buzz of life in this very central spot.
I really enjoy bringing friends visiting London, great music and atmosphere in the club downstairs, walking distance from the underground.
I went last night after theatre. Amazing staff all round. The DJ was amazing (and hot). The bar staff nice. My biggest praise has to be for the door staff. On our way in lovely but we ended up next to an exit and the guy there was so courteous to everyone and created a really safe space.

Friendly gay bar. Located at the Chinese town in London. Nice atmosphere and music. My only complaint is the entry and drinks prices are very expensive.
Went for the first time tonight and had a brilliant one. Awesome venue with a intimate basement dance floor. The service from door host to bar staff are lovely. What was a bit annoying is that I couldn't tip them on card. Update your card machines management - tips make make customer and bar staff connect and appreciate each other. Your bar/club/lounge would greatly benefit by giving customers the option
Nice bar. We enjoyed our time there. Drinks are reasonable. Security and staff were professional. I noticed someone was intoxicated and reported him to security. They professionally handled the situation.
At some point, they close the bar upstairs and offer everyone to go downstairs and charge them £10 admission.
On the screen advertised £10 inclusive of a complimentary cocktail. It was only 50% accurate, admission was correct but there were no drink included 😉
The security guard/manager was absolutely amazing in terms of service and professionalism. Their name slips my mind but it’s the tall woman (I hope I got it right 💀) who was extremely helpful and professional. Other than that, the club is very clean and the clientele is very friendly so Cudo to them.
A large group of us went to Ku Bar for a reunion party at the end of September and we all had a really great time !!
The management, door host, bar staff, wait staff and the door staff were all amazing and went out of their way to accommodate us all due to a change in our numbers attending.
Other businesses should take note as that is how it’s done!
