I had the best Bloody Mary I've ever had... the food is really very good... and the staff are all so unbelievably lovely! I would like to thank the staff for looking after my bag and iPhone I left there on Sunday after a few too many shots I can't wait to be back!

Great outdoor dining spot for a brunch when the weather is good. Food is usually on point, with fresh mostly local ingredients. Service cannot be faulted - always make you feel welcome and attended to.

With Spring in full swing and Summer just around the corner, The Alice House in picturesque West Hampstead offers a relaxed and intimate setting perfect for trying out their new Spring Cocktail Menu, which has also launched at their Queens Park locale. With a relaxing yet luxurious feel, the Alice House features minimal decoration with exposed brick walls & floorboards, mismatched vintage furniture, chalkboard menus and the ever-popular exposed filament lightbulbs.

I had the Potato pancake with Smoked Salmon and hollandaise sauce and as you can see from the photos I couldn't wait to start eating and I ruined the presentation! Anyway, the potato pancake was divine, with a very light texture that I tried to capture in my 'crappy' phone camera!

The Alice House is sort of a West Hampstead institution. If you live or work in the area you're bound to bump into someone you know every time you visit.

The Alice House is great for after work drinks in the summer. They make a good cocktail and you can enjoy it outside on the terrace.

The menu is relatively small and changes from time to time. Their standard beef burger is one of the best in London and served with deliciously salty chips.

If you've seen my review for the Queen's Park Alice House you'll know I'm quite a fan of this bunch of pubs. The Alice House was my go to bar for cocktails in jam jars back when I lived in West Hampstead and I've been singing its praises to James for the past 6 months, who needed a bit of convincing that it was worth going to...
The day I moved to West Hampstead I had Sunday Lunch here with my parents 2 years ago, which was absolutely fantastic (if a little overpriced considering back up north Sunday lunch costs about £6). We had roast beef Sunday lunch and the food that day was a really good introduction to London eateries... who knew Brussels sprouts with a Sunday roast in February could be such a winner?

Wandered over here from T Park and I was excited to grab some caffeine, dessert and an epic Dominos session. Whilst the coffee was well presented and tasty, the dessert we ordered was a tale of two halves. My fruit crumble with custard hit the spot perfectly after walking round Hampstead Heath, but James's chocolate brownie was far too dry which made it slightly hard to eat. Massive shame but still a 4/5 for experience and the food from 2 years ago.

Alice House is an amazing typical British venue located in West Hampsted Area.
This place offers you a variety of coctails, craft beers, relaxing dinings, a perfect place to eat and drink!
When I went there with a friend of mine and I ordered the main meal Bacon and Cheese Burger with Hand Cut Chips and my friend had a Grilled Chicken Salad with Radish and Mustard Dressing. Both of the dishes were more than delicious  and the service was nice as well.
After we finished we had a couple of their famous Ginger beer with an interesing taste! Great venue can highly recommend it!

The little sister to the larger and better known Alice House in Queens Park, this pub in West Hampstead is a great local and home to one of my favourite cocktails I've ever had - the plumble. Served in a jam jar, it's an enchanting mix of gin, plum jam, bitter lemon and lemonade. It also comes with a little wooden spoon to scoop out the remains of the sticky, sweet jam nestled in the bottom of the jar, which just adds to the delight.

As well as excellent cocktails, AH serves good quality food and sharing platters, and is always packed at the weekend for brunch and lunch.

A lovely boozer.

Hi there guys,

It was time for my brother's engagement drinks and he chose the Alice House to celebrate. We had booked out the downstairs room which was lovely and cosy, decorated with a table and chairs to the side, with couches at the back with its only bar at the very front of the room, attended by a very knowledgeable barman.

I started off the celebration having a bit of dinner, before everyone came, and although it isn't on the menu, I had the burger which was absolutely delicious. It cooked to perfection, served quickly and enjoyed thoroughly. The chips on the side were also crisp and complemented the burger well.

The bar itself has a lot of unique and local ales and bitters, which I had never seen before, but which all tasted lovely. Plus, they had a whole list of suggested cocktails which the barman could tell me all about and help me decide which ones to have. Throughout the night I sampled quite a few of them and I found all of them to be delicious (even the tequila one, and usually I hate tequila!) I was even made to try, the B-52, a drink I had never tasted before and which i expected to taste just awful, but I absolutely loved it. It contained Kahlúa, Baileys and Cointreau, and together it blended to make a delicious drink.
They hosted an absolutely lovely evening, their staff were informative and helpful and the venue was perfect, I wholly recommend this restaurant.

Lovely pub with outside seating which is exactly what you want when London gets warm! Good choice of drinks and beers, food was tasty though the service not great, it took a while to get attention to order drinks and later food and one out of three things we ordered never arrived and we had to ask three times before they finally took it to our table though charging us again…

Beautiful and well located. Prices matching the area. Indoors and outdoors seating, friendly staff and quick service. Had the tomatoes and hummus on sourdough and it was delicious. For weekend brunch better to book in advance as the place is quite busy!

We had a fantastic time in the Snug (area at the back of Alice House) for a private party. Dhwani and her team were incredibly patient, kind and generous with their time and attention. The food was great (especially the cauliflower croquettes) and the atmosphere was fantastic. Nothing was too big or too small for the team, and the bar tenders were knowledgable and speedy. All in all, a great afternoon and a return visit will follow for sure.

Such a sweet place, laid back and jolly. The Alice House serves its' own lager, unfiltered and very pleasant. Other kegs on offer, listed on a chalkboard by the bar. The taps are not really for viewing. Lovely service with a smile from the NZ lady behind the bar. All the staff are great. A fine place for a beer. Thank you Alice.

What a breath of fresh air the staff at Alice House are. My friends and I forgot to book a table for Sunday roast lunch. It was 3pm and not surprisingly there were no tables available. We were however greeted by such friendly, helpful staff that were so welcoming that we decided to have a drink and wait for an table to become available. It didn’t take long for us to be offered a free table when some customers had finished and left. The staff especially Emma and Tony were very attentive. The Sunday roasts were tasty. We had a very relaxing chilled Sunday, just the way it should be .

Really lovely pub with impeccable staff. Incredibly friendly atmosphere. We stopped him for a pint and went to a gig and then came back again for another pint afterwards because we liked it so much. Had some great chats and recommendations from the staff will happily come here again. The decor is outstanding.

My friend and I went on a Tuesday night which is also their quiz night (stars at 7.30pm if you want to eat in peace). This is my second time here and the food and service was as excellent as last time. The chef clearly cares about the food as the taste, combinations and visuals are all perfect. The staff are ever so friendly and competent, even on a busy night. It's dog friendly and they have done (human) board games in the side area which is nice.

A very very welcoming place. The staff were very kind and attentive. You can spend a quiet and relaxing evening while enjoying exquisite craft beer. I tasted a Crispy Porc Belly, accompanied by a sauce all'nduia and some very tasty slices of gherkins. The espresso Martini to be savored, after the meal, absolutely. Good, very good wines for final talk!

Wow went here on a Thursday evening with work mates. The food was way better than I thought it would be. The fried chicken is excellent, so the padron peppers and the fried courgette. The Romanesco sauce/dip excellent. Very impressed with the food. Also great craft beers. And the bar staff and waiting staff all have a bit of an alternative edge. This is definitely my new local.
