Good for party. Went for a party and we had our own room downstairs. we had a starter, wine, a main and dessert to choose from. Everything I had was great!

Weekday dinner. Pleasantly surprised by the man at the piano - he made our casual dinner date special. Lovely decor, high ceilings with wooden beams. I ordered a halibut in salsa sauce which was good. The friend ordered a risotto which was cooked to perfection. The staff is courteous and personal. I wouldn't necessarily revisit given London's wide choice in Italian but do drop in if you are in the area.

Trattoria Verdi is a little family run Italian Restaurant around the Russel Square area, and they serve dinner right until 12:30 pm and the food is amazing. It is served with love and that is what makes this place so special for us.
On our first trip to London, when we often turned away from restaurants for being too late for a dinner order (sometimes as early as 7:30pm), Trattoria Verdi always welcomed our tired feet with open arms and fed us well. We now return here whenever we are in the area.
Given that we have been here so often, we have tried almost everything on their menu, but out favourites are the mussels in garlic butter, the Pollo Farcito which is like chicken a la kiev but with mozarella cheese, the lasagna, the fresh fettucini preparations, the saltimbocca and the chicken cacciatora.
The crowning glory to all their food is the fresh dessert trolley that is wheeled in at the end. Nothing on this trolley has ever disappointed us. The tiramisu if available is superlative. Take a look at the dessert trolley before you order anything else from the menu, you might just decide to have just wine and dessert.

The food was excellent and staff friendly! Although the staff made a few mistakes in service, they were lovely and I would highly recommend this restaurant with its traditional Italian atmosphere and cuisine!
Wonderfull food and an even more wonderfull host. Can highly recommend it. The best food I had in London by quite a margin.
A very busy place and best to reserve in advance. Service a bit chaotic but adds to the atmosphere of the place. The chicken schnitzel was good. We also had a pizza with an egg in the middle which was good. Price wise was average.

the food is Italian and Authentic.
Given the prior reviews, I was surprised to find it empty around 2 PM. I was the only customer inside. Maybe it’s just busy for dinner. One of the managers or owners checked in with me to make sure the food was okay which was a nice touch.
They have several items clearly marked vegetarian on the menu. I ordered the penne arrabbiata. It looked dry but there was plenty of sauce underneath. Despite having visible chili slice in it, it was hardly spicy (I would’ve preferred it a little spicier). While the dish was fairly simple, it was executed well. 5/5
Lovely authentic restaurant with friendly staff and a great atmosphere! It was not busy for us on a weekday evening and the food came quite quick. The pasta portions are very generous!

Read several good reviews and decided to try it out. Was greeted by a friendly member. The food was delicious but got delayed to be served. We had to wait for more than 30-40 minutes to get the food. Therefore giving one star less. However lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.
I loved the restaurant so much because of its perfect ambiance and tasty food. Moreover the staff here is so good they greet the costumer very well. I would really like to visit this restaurant again and again.
Absolutely amazing! Restaurant is family owned for 23 years and it feels like home! Authentic Italian food, amazing atmosphere, and lovely owners and service. Highly recommend stopping by this wonderful little place! Plus no wait, not full of the trendy tourists like the places nearby!
Really wonderful experience! Fast service and friendly. I came in on my own and I've been checked on by every member of staff and they've all been so friendly and helpful. The food is beautiful. I'll definitely be back!
