La Ruga

Dined mid evening, mid week at La Ruga on the recommendation of a local friend who dines there frequently. She said she has never been disappointed, I'm glad I trusted her. We were four, sitting in the window looking out at the other diners sitting outside on a balmy summer evening. I had the vegetarian option which was fresh, delicious and perfectly presented. The restaurant is beautifully clean with crisp white linen on the tables and a skilled, knowledgeable waiter to advise on our choices. We spent an unhurried three hours there and loved every minute. Well worth a visit, especially mid-week.

Great place with outstanding food. It is not cheap but well worth it. The service is friendly but not fast. This is the type of place where you come to relax and enjoy your food. Although came for lunch in the past and the waiter was faster once told that we had to go back to work. A must visit in Walthamstow!

Have had lunch 3 times in this very good place, on the last occasion I had soft shell crab to start, rack of lamb with sauteed potatoes fresh vegetables an apple & cream dessert that took 20 minutes to cook (Well worth the wait) all of which perfectly cooked & presented, served by a friendly charming lady, in nice surroundings. The wine list has bottles at reasonable prices, I will return.
