We don't get to go as often as we'd like these days but La Ruga will always hold a special place in our hearts.
The food & service is always excellent and the ambience lovely.

Dined mid evening, mid week at La Ruga on the recommendation of a local friend who dines there frequently. She said she has never been disappointed, I'm glad I trusted her. We were four, sitting in the window looking out at the other diners sitting outside on a balmy summer evening. I had the vegetarian option which was fresh, delicious and perfectly presented. The restaurant is beautifully clean with crisp white linen on the tables and a skilled, knowledgeable waiter to advise on our choices. We spent an unhurried three hours there and loved every minute. Well worth a visit, especially mid-week.

Best restaurant in Walthamstow. Not sure how they compete with the trendy E17 across the road because they dont offer the same brunches etc. but their evening dishes are outstanding. Its quiet and relaxing. They have the most insane red onion tart

Visited for lunch last week, first time to this restaurant, have to say will not be my last! New favourite place. Amazing food... couldn’t get enough of the sauce on the Monk Fish. Fresh Crab for starter... friendly service. Good value. Would definitely recommend.

Great place with outstanding food. It is not cheap but well worth it. The service is friendly but not fast. This is the type of place where you come to relax and enjoy your food. Although came for lunch in the past and the waiter was faster once told that we had to go back to work. A must visit in Walthamstow!

Have had lunch 3 times in this very good place, on the last occasion I had soft shell crab to start, rack of lamb with sauteed potatoes fresh vegetables an apple & cream dessert that took 20 minutes to cook (Well worth the wait) all of which perfectly cooked & presented, served by a friendly charming lady, in nice surroundings. The wine list has bottles at reasonable prices, I will return.
