Il Funghetto

We came here for a family meal in a large group of about 20. They had plenty of room for other guests Nd there is free on street parking nearby in the evening. The food we ordered was generally very tasty and all of it was freshly made. We had a lovely time and will visit again soon. There were plenty of vegetarian options as we are all vegetarian but we manged to order such a variety of items including Bruschetta, Pasta, Pizza, Gnocchi

Great tastes, great flavours. Unpretentious local neighbourhood Italian pizzeria with flavoursome daily specials and clean tasting (ie not greasy or over seasoned )classics eg escalope milanese, fegato, scoglio seafood pasta and more. Desserts are fresh, tirmisu is light yet full bodied, the best kept secret is dipping sponge fingers in marsala whipped zabaglione. Restaurant can get busy at peak times.... an obvious statement but worth the relatively small waiting times. Oh... yes.. ITALIAN pizzeria in neopolitan style, (NOT to be confused with pizza claiming to be Italian via american style DEEP FROZEN DELIVERY cheese on toast... THESE ARE PROPER HAND ✋🏼 STRETCHED PIZZAS!) Oh, and the pastas... classics with unctuous sauces, great gnocchi and the favourite.... scoglio seafood pasta or prawn pasta (with a dab of chilli 🌶 oil 😋 for me)

I've been coming to Il Funghetto for 7-8 years with my family. It is one of my favourite Italian restaurants (as an Italian) with such lovely friendly waiters. Never had any problems with service or food. You don't always get waiters that make you laugh, but here at Il Funghetto Davide never fails to make me or family smile, which makes us feel welcomed. Highly recommend their Ravioli. The spinach one is one of my personal favourites, which I've ordered on multiple occasions. Price wise, we normally order starters' main and dessert, so per person, it is 25ish each, but with the massive platter portions, it's always worth it.

A fantastic Italian pizzeria in London, North Finchley which makes you feel you are in Italy. Exceptional food served with Italian style. Cozze is pretty special but pizzas are second to none. It was a bit noisy when we were there because of a birthday party but the noise completed the friendly atmosphere. We will return!!!

We had a lovely time at this place. We were 4 mums and 5 children ages 2 to 10 years old. We didn't book but they made a space for us. The staff are very welcoming and made us feel welcome as soon as we came in. We were offered high chairs which were a good height so the 2 and 3 Yr old could eat at the table. The atmosphere is vibrant which I like. Very Italian. The food was lovely. The chicken Kiev usually comes with potatoes but I exchanged it for fries. Everything came out hot and fresh. The pizzas and garlic bread were very nice. My 10yr old had the pesto pasta which she said was delicious. I had the tiramisu which was awesome. Homemade. Thr mascarponi was so delicious. I was stuffed until I couldn't move! The bill was £160 for 4 adults and 5 kids which I thought was fantastic value for money. Would definitely return.
