Royal Albert

Lovely pub - bit expensive, but it's worth it for the atmosphere. Friendly staff, great buskers night, really nice vibe, extremely comfy chairs if you get in quick enough, all around nice energy. Didn't eat there on this occasion but from past experience, food nothing to write home about particularly but good if fairly standard selection and enjoyable. Have taken my parents here before as well, so well rounded for that kind of occasion as well as a nice night out. Old Fashioneds are tip top.

Lovely place and nice and helpful staff The manager is a good chap supporting local community and culture. There is a hidden gen in this pub, Jessy. She is a super star... She seems to have mastered the art of customer engagement and business development with the best skills that are in this industry There is another chap in the bar who is super friendly and helpful if you bother to ask for help, I got the best drinks and still managed my alcohol intake limits !!!!

What a find! We were going to a gig at the O2, and staying in Deptford for the night, so we wanted a place for a meal and a couple of drinks before going to the concert. Found the Albert through Google, and booked a table for two hours at three in the afternoon. When we got there, the place was locked, but Don (the chef) let us in after hearing our story. He looked after us until John (proprietor) arrived, then prepared the BEST tapas we have had outside Spain. John was the perfect host and insisted on standing us our first round by way of apology for the misunderstanding. This is going to be a regular visit for us when attending the O2. We can highly recommend the staff, food and excellent choice of beers and wines available. Thanks, John and Don, and see you again very soon.
