Gourmet Burger Kitchen

Went to GBK last Friday 9th Nov for lunch with my partner before going on to see the flames being lit at Tower Bridge for Armistice Century. I rarely choose to eat burgers, but when I do only go to one of their restaurant chain. The restaurant was very busy, but like all the branches that we have been to had helpful, friendly efficient staff & ran like clock work. The food was tasty, well cooked, & the bottle of house wine was quite nice and reasonably priced.

Very tasty burgers, rich in flavour and well prepared. Location close to the river Thames and the Borough market is worth a visit in terms of not too overcrowded, at least when i was there. The quality and taste i didn't expect in this touristy area, even when the name implies this suggestion. Only small drawback of this location is that there is not much natural light inside so mostly artificial light, even at sunny days. Friendly staff and the waiting time until the burger was prepared was absolute ok for me. I will come again.

In terms of location you can’t go wrong around here. The layout of this branch is nice and open. The staff were friendly and helpful. The burger was cooked perfectly, nice and pink in the middle with a very generous helping of Gorgonzola cheese. Does not get 5 stars because GBK have removed the habenero burger from their menu. Bring it back!
